Level 13 is the best one for grinding max skill level. Just put a tower on the highground, towers on the mana sources, and a bunch of towers at your gem cave. If you do that it's in the bag. /afk

Hint: Do not put skill points into "Scorching Treasure" or "Return Portal". You will not use these skills when getting "Brilliant" rating for missions. This will save you grinding 3+ levels. I also did not points into "Frenzy Study" as you don't use Frenzy more than once per level.

I also have the same problem as Ravensvoice wrote, only the last played level's enemies count for the 'Dread Lord' achievement.

people say all the towers are equally as good, but 6 mana crypts is like having frenzy on 100% of the time. pretty good imo.

On the way to maxing your points out, my biggest tip would be to keep yourself entertained, like do all the waves over just to see how much you annihilate them, give you self random challenges, like only one tower type, can only cut one type of forest, least towers used etc. I am level 38 and find maxing out boring even so, but its the little things that can keep you going for that last achievement.

@Tinytoad: Uhh, how do you misplace a point? You eventually fill every point anyways, so you never really waste a point.

Level 17 to beat first 14 with brilliant rating and 15th with good. Took me level 20 to beat last with brilliant. What I discovered is this: top path Blaze temple on high ground with 2 ballistas above and couple of crypts next to high ground (one chill, one mana). The delayed reaction of towers lets balistas and temple to fire and hit ninjas level 39 while they're cloaked. Also they hit lvl40 ninja so you only need 4 meteors to kill him after that. Bottom row, chilling crypt on high ground and 3 balistas above it do splash dmg too. Good luck.

@KuroSuwokomaybe you should look at your little set of spells buttons and click on the conveniently placed meteor button...(hotkey E)

I applaud you kind sir. This was both fun and challenging at the same time. I constantly found myself returning to previous levels to try and get brilliant rank on them. T be frank, I would pay to play a game as good as this. Only complaint is pretty common, as it is the massive grind. Still trying to decide if this is better than the first though....

gold on all by level 20, except 15. seems i have to max my level before i can gold the last one. something isn't right about that...

Combine the two games in to one uber game
or a sequel with new levels and lots of levels and perhaps a new upgrade or two for each tower
awesome game just beat the final lvl at lvl19
now to get the upgrades and achivements
favourite tower = temple

But it's not a Sequal or a Prequel....It's a level pack. The same game different levels. But in case you are wondering Cursed Treasure 2 is out on Armor Games

As of this morning my progress has been reset for unknown reaons. The Save-game is just, gone. I have not cleared my browser history or deleted/reset anything else recently.

Last level is perfected by spamming ghost towers at spawn entrances and meteor killing the ninjas. Many other ways but this is the simplest to explain.
Once you reach a high enough skill level, the last level is best for grinding to max. Level 13 still being the easiest level to grind for exp, it becomes more efficient at around skill lvl 30 to grind the last level.

The first one was great, this one is great too, but, it takes too much to get higher levels, it gets boring at a point. 4/5
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Achievements and fast forward should award experience, to make leveling faster. You have to replay the same levels over and over just to get to high enough level to go on to the next ones. Still 10/10.

My favourite solution to Ninja attacks is to fill the ending of the level with as many crypts as possible. As soon as their cloaking wears off, they get hopelessly surrounded by crypt charges. That'll teach them for ruining so many 'brilliant' ratings.

It'd be really cool if my towers would target the dude about to steal a gem and NOT the frozen, feared guy three inches behind him.

I hate it when I forget to check in on a game I already completed long ago for Badge of the Day until literally minutes after the next day has started. Especially when it's a game I like.

Played for like 4 hours. then my account d/c so i refreshed the page and now i have no save data. i have to start all over. again. this is the second time this has happened.

You'd think at some point the guys in those towers would learn to at least fire blindly after they first hit a ninja.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
needs a "reset skills" button. it would add more replay value, like trying out different skill combos, or going all of one upgrade type just for fun.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
To help give your towers more XP, hold off on upgrading them; this way enemies take more hits to kill and more towers will gain XP from them. When you do have to upgrade, upgrade the towers closest to the gems first and the ones near the entrance last; this way enemies stay alive longer and your last towers serve as "safeties" to stop any that slip through. For the ninjas, make sure you have some towers near the entrance (to make them enter invisibility mode quickly) and some near the gems (to strike when it runs out). And about choosing your skills: unless you plan on spending a ridiculous amount of time leveling up, effectively you are only going to have a limited number of skill points to use throughout the game. Spend them wisely and avoid skills (like Frenzy Mastery and Scorching Treasure) that you don't really need (unless if you need to spend a point in one to unlock the later skills).

Second all of the fine suggestions regarding achievements awarding skill points and an endless mode. PLUS, there should be a 4th tower type corresponding to the forces of Air AND there should be a filthy unicorn herd to kill as well as . God, I hate those things.

Excellent game, and lots of fun. As many others have commented, however, I completed the game before getting half of the upgrades. If new levels aren't really possible, then how about some challenges for each of the existing levels? Things like a maximum number of towers, an upgrade limit for each tower, no fear crypts, etc. I want a reason to keep on playing!
