I think you mean the advent boxes, right? Cause the Kongergae pack that we gifted to all new Kongregate players is for Kongregate users only and free to open. Those advent boxes are a big thing in our complete comunity and a tradition for multiple years now. Some of them cost some gems, other cost gold or iron.All of them are pretty easy to open. Next to that you can gain enough gems ingame to use them and you can save the crates to open them on other (higher) levels to get better rewards.
So please don't see this as an annoying feature.. see it as an opportunity, cause the rewards you get out of the boxes are way more worth then if you try to get them on other ways.. as an example, sometimes to open a box i costs you 1000 gold, but you get 3000 gold and 4 units out of it)

awesome!! thats the game i was waiting for:) Turn-based, lovely artworks, cool 3D battle view, funny in game character comments.
The energy points for missions are a bit to high if u ask me, but this way U can play for a while and not get bored.

you should have a natural gold/iron regeneration. what happens when youve run out of cash and all your troops are destroyed?

So my hero can do a lvl3 assault/smuggling mission with no problem, but a lvl2 raid is impossible? Balance Fail -2 to rating.
Hi Mewvg, I dunno why you think it works this way, but it's absolutly not true.. You can play lvl 2 raids and even level 3 raids. Premium raids will be available on a later level, out of my head around lvl 5. It's sad that you base your score on this only, cause our game has much more to offer. I would advice to play a bit further to see things on a higher level, cause there will be more and more features unlocked... Have fun Marauding! Cheers Legolas!

I started out liking this game. And then the army that I had carefully built up (including the rare unit from the starting box) was casually wiped out on a level 2 raid.
The difficulty of opposing forces seems to vary widly. I had done a level 3 raid and handeled it nicely, so to be casually wiped out has soured the game for me.
The permanent loss of rare units seems targeted at getting players to re-pay for those units...and is distasteful.
I'm sorry to hear that. I understand that is sucks that your rare units got wiped out. However, at higher levels you'll have more variaty at the units you can build.

I really hate Iron Grip: Marauders! The main cause of this was the game-play; the unbalances in game play (caused by all the stupid & needless upgrades), the bad graphics, and the internet troll infestation in the game & the games forums! The additional loading screen to get into the game-play is total nuisance and downright stupid as hell; the lackluster on-screen lags are extremely big issues; and the menu interface is, quite simply neither “attractive nor persuasive” (it is just plain ugly). Again, this is my opinion, if you don't like what I post – then, simply, don't read it, but I'm still going to say it anyways , it’s is never nice to see a badly made game with the addition of a PvP (I call it an internet trolls playground)!
I say this because I was one of many online beta testers for this game!

I find this game to be rather enjoyable. but the only thing that bugs me is that I can't read the text during mission's it's simply to small for me to see.
so if you could enlargen the text that would be great
I'm glad to hear that and I'm sorry you can't read the text properly. Perhaps is you change something in the resolution of your screen it would help a bit? We can't really change it on our side I'm afraid.

I have played the game as much as i could possibly want to and not ran out of energy. The packages opened by gems are not even needed, but are helpful, and you end up gettting free gems eventually to open them.
Good game, battles are fun and the load doesnt take very long.

I agree with lycanshade. I like the animation and aesthetic style of the game but it's just too queer to enjoy playing.

Looked at the game, thought it looked appealing with the 3D Battles (Reminded me of other RTS's.), load up the screen, beautiful artwork, not to hard of a game to grasp (Caught on in about 5 mins or so.), gameplay is very nice, i do how over think that to scroll, clicking and dragging with the Left Mouse Button, or even just pushing the mouse into the side of the screen should move it. I did get frustrated a lot of times using the ArrowKeys or clicking the mini map. Great game tho. 5/5

Wow, it costs $0.52 to double your play time each day. $5 = 50 Kreds, 39 Kreds = 30 Gems, 4 Gems = 24 Energy, 1 Hour = 1 Energy. That is pretty good compaired to a lot of other games.

I love the turn-based battles and the customization i can have in my army, the graphics are amazing and creating basic units is fast and cheap. My dislikes are the Storage boxes, i was given a "Starter Tutorial Box" for what i thought was free but it actually costs 2 gems to open (very confusing) and also the Double-Window that is Required to play the battles. Overall, a great Strategy Game and worthy of a 5/5.

The boxes you get are a kind of booster packs filled with units and resources. Usually it's worth the gems to open them :P A little trick it to wait for a level up. What's in the boxes depend on your level, so if you close to a level up, wait and get better units!
Also, some of the Advent Boxes we now hand out can be opened with gold or iron.

Missions cost 2-4 energy, you have a max of 24 energy, and you gain 1 energy an hour. That is 6-12 Missions a day. This is just another pay to win and wait to play game.
Hi Toimu, it's very unfortunate that you feel this was as to be really honest I would like to inform you that a battle takes up to 20-30minutes. This means people can play at least 2-3hours a day. This is pretty hardcore and all advertisement free. Yes we need to make money as we would like to continue working on games, but we try to do it in a friendly way. If you have some ideas on how we can implement the F2P model in an even more friendly way, we are open for advise. Greetings Kittyhawk

game is like most of the others I have played with this style but char. creation ain't so bad, better than some and overall gameplay is pretty decent. Gotta play some more though!

Why is multiplayer (deliberately or undeliberately) left out on the "view new games" screen, so I don't know before coming in here, really annoying.

Could you be more specific, cause this problem never occurs to me/us while testing it. I tried to reproduce it 5 minutes ago and it worked perfect for me. So you could play the first tutorial, but in the second one the AI freezes, or? What comp specs do you have and what browser are you using. Sometimes accepting third party cookies will help to solve the issue..

Wow such a good game. The graphics are great, the combat is fresh, even the idle parts (smuggling, assault, recruitment) feel involved. The interface makes so much sense, and I've never felt lost in it. Even though I'm early into it, I don't think the energy will get restrictive, and purchases with gems seem to be balanced (you can actually buy cool things with the "mega-money" yayayay ^-^). And what really surprised me was how well it all worked. Loading times are short, and I've only seen one bug. Not to mention everything is steampunk. Some things I would like to see in the future for this game; more customization, like being able to customize the look of your airship, etc. And perhaps experience for your units, with some branching skill or stat trees, something like that. 5/5, can't wait to see what this evolves into. Keep it simple and stay away from too much cash grab, and this game will become one of the greats.
