I've tried playing this game three or four times and it has locked up every time. It seems that you can often cause the game to freeze if you're a fire mage and shoot a fire ball then click anywhere else before the fireball hits its target and/or before whatever you've shot finishes exploding.

Ooh! A red mushroom! It's probably an item that can heal--
"Fire Mushroom - Dangerous mushrooms which explode with a burst of fire when stepped on."
Whoops

Just the Rogue left to make it to the trophy. I have a few gripes about him though. For funsies I got my Rogue to 23 Stealth early on (fluked out by finding 15 skill points on level 2-3 + a robe), and average Melee. Even with maxed Stealth, monsters with low spot checks (Stone Golem 6%) instantly saw me (Except imps (5%) they're happy enough to ignore me). Teleporting into a room appears to be 100% noticing + death. I'm at the point where I can't use the Rogue as a Rogue and am instead relying on treasure drops to give me wizardry items.

Needs WASD controls. Using the mouse just feels really clunky compared to how well-fitting the game could be with WASD controls and mouse to perform actions and inventory/skill management.

vadhaghl: It's a bug. Sometimes the game just doesn't let you enhance certain equipment. Annoying, but nothing that can be done.

I was playing a Warrior, and three times could not use a scroll of Enchantment on my Inferno Sword, or my Spear. They showed in the list of enchantable items, but clicking them had no effect. So I had to waste the scrolls on lower level equipment. From previous games I am pretty sure that enchanting those weapons used to work. Did anybody have the same problem?

I was killed after an enemy spawned object (unspecified for spoiler prevention) attacked me. My death message reads "your level 6 character was killed by a blood in the the arcane tower." (yes, that is typo free, and no, a spot of blood on the ground did not attack me)
I didn't realize I was playing "drug lords and dragons". XP
All in all a very enjoyable, even addicting game. Just thought I'd comment with a funny occurence.

I Love that OP Change of class. And was very ironic my way to win this time. I enter the last floor and I See thoe objrctive of that quest next to me. I have 2 options to end the game in the lame way and catch it now or explore the whole last flor before taking it i see the time is 58 mins and catch it inmediatly winin the under an hour achirvment.

Finally. Dear God, I can let this curse go now. I figured my victory would be with a necromancer, but it turned out to be a warrior who found a storm staff. Electrical damage was at around +134% by the end.

For the merchant problem: if he won't sell you stuff it's likely because you have too many items for your (inventory) side of his sell screen. Use up some consumables and projectiles, then try again.

monsters are attacking a bit too fast. possibly balanced auto attacked would make game more relaxing? constant hasty clicking and small monsters is hard

the hell .... Ive always lost with the rogue, and now, this time, I got the flame sword and gloves +25% dmg. finished it in 22 minutes am I dreaming ?

@Andostre The rouge is hard, but pretty simple. It's already basically a melee class, so you just play it like you would normally, but you split some skill points between stealth and melee. But because it has no talents to help with melee, and because the spear si mostly garbage, you'll need to get lucky with equipment, bookshelves, or other class books.
The ranger, now that one is just crap all around.

How is it that I'm out of range 5 blocks away but when i shoot at a target in range that dies before the projectile lands that it hits a target more than 5 blocks away?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Any tips on beating the game with rogue and ranger? What stats should I prioritize? Can you win with these classes without multi-classing?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Grr ranger sucks. I mean, sure, tunnel shot + bombs is awesome, but otherwise it takes way too much mana to be effective.

suggestion for an impossible badge: win with every character at least once. Forget the timer thing, that's hard enough already for it.

yo developer! I have 2 questions. First, what is the lore of this game? second of all, do you have any more games like this?! I love you game dude please make more
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Simple, funny, beautifull and you can spend hooours trying to get through. Make merchants more usefull, they fail at that. 4/5 GJ

After finding another one, I can confirm that neither skills or spell damage equipment affect elemental melee weapons.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Question. I know staves are boosted by elemental skills, but what about the fire sword and shock cleaver? They benefit from melee skill, I can see that, but do they also benefit from elemental skills? What about boosting effects from equipment?

Just got rogue in 42m 4s
Got a helm of telepathy early, but not before I used a talent on rogue keen sense. After that, i got dungeon sense. Also got fighter talent book early, and got stonewall, then toughness out of it.
Stats were mostly in stealth and toughness, with 1 invested in range early for the easy damage boost. A few points in melee, and 3 in focus.
Last few floors were lava themed, and just involved me blowing my blink and fear scrolls, and making a mad dash for the stairs and the goblet, which was a billion miles away.

Based on the presence of an Ice Bomb and the model for the Priest, I think that there was supposed to be an Ice Mage.

@kevc Leve 5 brings a new dungeon, one of 3. The iron fort is the easiest, by far. The Den (I think that is what it's called) is pretty hard due to the spawning spiders. The other one is super hard due to it's layout, but the necro does do well there. There is another powerspike at level 9, and again at level 13.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@kevc What you want to do, is basically restart on level 1-2 over and over until you get something good. Good being, more than 2 bookshelves, a weapon upgrade, a magical item, or at least 2 other useful items. Once you get that, then you can continue. If you haven't gotten another item by the end of level 4, restart. Part 2
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@kevc The game is really hard, but not impossible, i've beaten it with every character besides the ranger in less than 45 minutes. Personally, the fire mage, necro, and warrior are the easiest. But even then, there is a great deal of randomness involved. Part 1

If the medium badge were a hard one, and hard an impossible one, I wouldn't be this angry. I tried using fire mage and necromancer as taught in the comments, and still can't get the medium badge. 1/5 good bye lame game
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The funny thing is it is so unbelievably difficult that getting past the first few level is challenging enough, let alone finish the game. Yet, the main page shows achievements for finishing it under 60mins, 45mins etc, and finishing the game is so easy that it is not that much of an accomplishment. It looks like a joke to me.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It would have been a fun game if it weren't ridiculously difficult. I cannot even get the medium badge and I followed a guide. No fun at all, way too difficult, really needs a difficulty option for me to enjoy it.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Necro is definitely easiest character to play. My only gripe is that if you pick up too many different types of darts, and then you get a weapon and your 8 slots are full, you can't move the item into one of those slots. I can sell it, but then I wouldn't have the weapon I want! Is there a way around this?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@agel1999 each of the ice levels will have 2 camp fires that if you hang around, the little how cold are you bar drops back down to zero.

So... I nabbed the Rage skill from the barbarian book... and it seems to have broken. It's stuck at 5, and doesn't actually increase my damage...
