Any1 can tell me how to make keys W S A D usable for the same as arrow keys? What is the command for theese? KeyW dont manage for example.....

i right click on the flash movie and i see "Movie not loaded..." and "About Adobe Flash player 10" thats all a.k.a. the movie wont load

For the Kongregate APIs to submit "Pushed Boxes" would it be _root.kongregateStats.setMode("Pushed Boxes")
_root.kongregateStats.submit(_global.PushedBoxes)
or _root.kongregateStats.submit("Pushed Boxes", _global.PushedBoxes)

Im totally new to this first time doing flash but i think if you are wanting to change the look of you ship during game, just do it like the shield and have another layer hidden until conditions are met? sounds like it should work

Can anyone please explain how to change the graphic of an actor while the game is running? I want to make an outfitter that changes the look of my ship, without using a different actor (for coding reasons). Any insight?

addition to the gameover screen problem ... the screen displays the amounts if the game is won but if lost then it wont display it ??

Ok another Problem .. when the game over screen pops up all the numbers on the screen are 0000's .. i cant get it to update .. plz can someone help me :D

I think you can add levels by adding more frames, then you can change anything you want or just copy from frame one... Having a frame check or simple true/false level variable maybe to change code? You would need to put in stop(); on each frame, though. I think that might work... The way I use to keep from going off screen is to check and make sure they are on stage before moving. like: if (_x>0 && Key.isDown(Key.LEFT)) {_x-=speed;} for example. I don't know of any other ways to do it. If you don't understand the code still, then try finding other basic AS code tutorials.

i still dont understand about the aliens stuff, well idk i think shootirials 1 from 7 are very good, but this one not... rawr!

saint to do the little alien things is actually pretty easy. So on the explode functions you just have a random number thing, and then if the number equals a certain number you get the x and y data and attach the alien movie clip. For the alien movie clip you have it so the dirrection is down and when it is at the bottom change it to be moving across instead of down.
I have a question as well from the shoot the game thing, how do you add the border things?

neosano if you dont like shootortials make your own tutorials, the way you talk, you should be the best flash developer in world, so make a tutorial, maybe we could be so pro as you in 8 tutorials of 15 pages each! REALLY?

i tryed to download all the file for shoot8 becasue when i add stuff here my game did not work any more, but what i downloaded is just rubbish! the game doesn't work, and i haven't changed anything, anybody know why?

really noobish, you must use some class like effect or just a sound, and then you use _root.souns.explosion() and it makes whatever is there, you don't care. If you use this it will be easier to disable sound and music.
1/5 for all shootorials.

I'm slightly annoyed... I added my own enhancements while I was doing it. All the way through these I've been findign what I've done is covered in later tutorials, but I still have some features this doesn't.

I loved the tutorials, my game looked like... a really clumsy version of the real game... but maybe kongregate should make tutorials for Mouse input, platform games, animations and a coding help spot. Its really hard to keep up after Shootorial 6. Still... amazing.
