Well, I offer you my way of how to get an epic mode badge: you must have a cat tamer, cat warrior, secret weapon, aerial support, counter x2, venomous, defender, mb swordsman for Matt. for natz slime bunny x2, magic counter the rest on your opinion. to kill the last boss when the battle starts switch to the blood blade and defend for the rest of the fight (Important!) do not allow Matt to do something else and keep autolife on natz. that's all the boss will die sooner or later) btw natz can die, it is not so important, because Matt can kill the boss on his own.
ps. the same tactics will work for other fights even for hydra.

I did like it, but making us go back to well before the zombie dragon every time we die to the tank is a bit harsh. Still, first impossible badge. Can't complain.

tip for anyone trying to beat the final boss on epic mode: DEFEND IS YOUR FRIEND (no pun intended). whenever the ion cannon is charged and about to fire our whenever a nuke is about to hit, USE DEFEND. also, USE SLIME BUNNY AND AUTO-LIFE NATZ OFTEN. the key is to constantly defend yourself as opposed to trying to be on the offense. also through the course of the game, try to pick the abilities that have defense attributes

if you are only playing this for the badge of the day then you only if to get to and defeat the guardian and save, if you do not have the badge by the time you get to the first nolegs minigame then refresh andand try reloading your saved game

I love the game, i just wish that scanbot didnt cost anything, only a turn. I mean, I love to scan bosses and new enemies, but sometimes i wont just in case ill need that extra mp.

Defending seems to be the most important scheme in my epic mode. Then you need to keep boosting your magic and physical defence. Matt will be a great defender with blood blade and counter. It will help you away from "game over"

There should be a save point after killing the skull-dragon, cuz it's kinda boring die at the wave 22 and start again at the 16...
