This game has got to be one of the, if not THE best tower defense games that I have ever played! If I wasn't so poor I would definitely buy the full game!
Uh...hurray I think? We went kinda nuts trying to ensure no save games were lost, and in the process I suppose it's possible we performed a little necromancy on some older ones, haha.

I actually bought a copy of this game as soon as I finished the demo on here when it was still just the first 2 acts. I love it personally. The story is awesome, the strategy isn't too terribly challenging once you know how to use all the different classes, and with all the new content added since the full release, the re-playability of the game has gone through the roof!
I, for one, can't wait to see what the sequil will be like! ;)

This game is well worth the $10 I spent to get the full version! It's an awesome tower defense with a story that really pulled me in, it reminds me of the old SNES rpgs that always had an epic tale to go with them. Awesome job on the game, 5/5!

I wasn't entirely sure if I'd like this game at first glance. Since it appeared to be another of the dozen or so "2 star games". Oh boy, I can say that I was completely taken by surprise! +5! (And this was only the demo!) Also, a few things which would be lovely to see expanded upon: Skills, Character Types, BGM, & Gear! :)

@Th334-you do realize that in the options (then accessibility) menu, there is the option of letting the non-players getting no penalty for not being in, as well as upping the amount of scrap and EXP you get?

TIP: if you want to make things on HIGH difficulties easy -- just go through to the cave and get the KNIGHT. Although (sometimes) possible, many 2-3* early levels are very difficult without him, simply because there's now way for you to ged rid of armored nasties.
ALSO: if you have spare scraps, buy more defenders and don't forget to summon all of them when the victory is already yours (they will earn more EXP).

I would take this DEMO word out at least from the title. I believe some people aren't trying the game just because of this word :)
Simply tell them in the Description that Acts V+ are not included in the free version, and the full game is only $10 :) If someone NEVER EVER would play a demo or spend $10, he'll leave after reading description.
But don't repulse people (some of whom might even confuse demo with something like alpha-beta development stage).
Actually, we originally called it "Defenders' Quest Prelude" for exactly that version - to show that it was more of an intro to the game. However, we had a very strong backlash of "false advertising" from players, and a low score. We didn't want to deceive people, so we put "demo" in the title, and fortunately the players rewarded our forthrightness with a much higher score and very positive feedback. So, while I understand what you're saying, I think we'll go ahead and keep "demo" in there. ;-)

That's close to be genius: great TD + awesome RPG + amazing storyline. If you liked Kingdom Rush, Protector, or GemCraft...forget it, this game is definitely more enjoyable :) Okay, maybe it's not THAT genius, but easy 5* and (one of) the best Kongregate TD. If I you are considering buying a game, buy this one.
This should be fixed now in version is 1.0.35 - reload the game and see if it works!

Was close to buying it, since its really good. But the price is just a bit too high for my taste, its only a browsergame after all ;)

The last three levels are HARD on + mode. I appreciate a game that makes you work for a win a little. If you are having trouble in + mode near the middle, you probably need to start using spells a lot more. Get the chain lightning book; it rocks!

There are a few grammatical considerations in this excellent game: ACT VI An even greater foe); Part of the prologue text should probably read 'the other an usurpation' (not a usurpation).
The other part is when the Quaid Princess speaks of Zelemir's apparent demise it should probably read 'May his corpse molder in the foul earth' (Not may his corpse mold in the foul earth). Although in a purely technical sense, she is correct in that there will be mold involved. You could also say 'May his corpse mold away in the foul earth', which does have the bite of a curse to it.
As it stands, I'm playing the game through on the + level and having a blast both winning and losing.

extended version of the demo does not work for me. The game ends after the monastery, I am asked to export or to pay kreds for the full game. Clicked on continue, but the game does not proceed (no open path).
(UPDATE: This should be fixed in version 1.0.35)
Shucks, we fixed this for some users. Let's troubleshoot: 1) What version # appears in the bottom-left hand corner of the title screen? 2) On the save slot screen, what does the yellow text at the bottom say - "Demo" or "Extended Demo" ? This will help me isolate whether the extended demo is not showing up at all, or whether it's showing up and just not adjusting your save file correctly.

And the best thing about the game is that even experienced users can find a lot of challenges, i.e. by deciding not to recruit any characters, sticking just with those who are part of the storyline, and/or not to buy any gear, or never to grind for more XP, playing every battle just once. All CAN be done and each has a very different feel and approach...

This was the second flash game I spent money on, after Gemcraft Labyrinth. And I think that the demo did a good job - after I finished playing it, it really was "shut up and take my money" :) - and that's ages ago and since then, the devs made so much work on it, making the experience better...
While we don't want to diminish the value of games based solely on the underlying technology (some great examples of top-notch Flash games are Bloons TD 5, Offspring Fling, The Binding of Isaac, Kingdom Rush, Samorost, etc., many of which are on sale on Steam), we're flattered that you're enjoying the game that much. :-D

Do I need to start a game from 0 to get the ch 3 and 4 now with the version 1.0.30? yesterday i was getting black screen now i can load but still limited to ch 2.

... totaly took the cheep easy way out with the bad end feel so guilty as I faught my way up to the final boss but ... I figured I will at one point wana see the bad end might as well do it then newgame+ for the good end... still feel so bad @_@

so...is the demo always going to be a demo, or if enough people buy, the full game will be opened for everyone or some such? that's what looks like is happening so far to me: more people buy, and Kong gets more of the game. confirmation?
Kongregate asked us if we could provide them with some exclusive content for their registered users, which gives people an incentive to sign up for kongregate accounts. We may or may not add more free content in the future, but it won't depend on people's purchasing habits.

Developer are you guys ever going to put more story in the game? I mean like the bottom left and Top Right of the map are empty. Can you add more stuff to it? :D
We have added seven new side-quests in New Game+ mode in the full version, which extend the story quite a bit :) Beyond that, we have one more thing up our sleeves that we haven't revealed just yet, but plan to include in a future update.

the reset points bug was my browser not the game, all is fine again now, sorry for bothering you, decided to reinstall my borwser and now everything is all good :)
Based on other user reports, this might not be a universal bug, but could simply be related to your specific internet connection. If it keeps happening, try one of these:
1) Clear your cache, then reload
2) Use a different browser
3) Try again later

Very good game and as I said I was, I bought it. (From the main DQ site.)
From what everyone says it is a good purchase I believe it is aswell. You're doing what a good delvoper should do aswell, Updating the game, being fairly quick with responses, trying to work out bugs. If it wasn't for the gold edtion coming out I would of liably never of heard of this game and not bought it.
