This must be a bad joke.. the original idea for this game is by 3DO. Its name was Arcomage and was included in the Might and Magic series from MM7 to MM9 and already published as a standalone game because of its success.
This version is a really bad joke compared to the beauty of Arcomage..
Thumbs down.

The computer player has refused to play when losing badly three times on me now. When you play and play and play and then overcome the difficult start and then are enjoying a massive advantage and an imminent victory, it's a real kick in the nuts to have the computer freeze up. Is the developer a sadist?

Rank should be based on a rating system like chess. If you have 100 wins and you're playing against Guest_1234 with 0 wins, you'd get 0 points if you win. While they would get much more for a win. Rate up so devs can see.

The sacrifice (unit) card can work against the computer themselves funnily when you don't have any workers yourself, they get rid of one of their workers but can't take one of yours because you don't have any.

Computer seemed unable to play another card when I was finally about to slaughter him on difficult, I know people quit when they're about to lose, but computers as well?

this game is rather entertaining but its so luck orientated its awful. every turn is a gamble of either victory or defeat, either way its still entertaining. but i give it a 3 out of 5.

I have to say that after beating hard first without using any of the gold borders I feel like i've accomplished something. Then I read the achievement again and it reminds me its more of a test of patience than skill anyway. Should be an endurance badge :\

F***, I HATE THIS GAME. Easy and Medium were kinda fun, but hard is unbearable. Seriously, man, there's a difference between challenging and impossible. If there is a Castle Wars 3, I hope you fix this, 'cause this game has a lot of potential.

On hard mode, got to the last castle on the first map(not sure if there's more..) and I for once was about to win, and now the bot won't take his god damn turn. What the eff is that all about...

Hard mode isn't as hard as it first seems. Still some luck involved but you can counter that by restarting the hand until your initial cards are decent.
Build your deck with only resource and castle building cards. Strip out all attack and wall cards. Don't tackle hard until you have at 1-2 of the resource kill cards from completing the easy/medium levels.

I seem to constantly lag out in multiplayer. Is anyone else having this problem, or is it because of my crappy ISP? BTW, Qwest is worse than dial-up.

It would be nice if each map gave you a bonus in some way once you defeat it, for instance 1 defeated fort could give you a perminant +1 to starting mages, or +10 to starting crystals, etc. This would make the hard boss forts less luck based and give a feeling that conquering maps gave you some reward other than turning the map a different colour.

Way to much usage of bricks, looking at the supercards you need 35 Weapons, 45 Crystals and 75 Bricks to use every card once! try introducing cards which only need weapons + crystals so i dont end a match with ~100-150 weapons in my stash

Sure it sucks when your opponent quits when you're about to win, but A, half the people complaining probably do it, and B, it's great when the don't get out in time :p

In hard campaign, it's a good idea to have a control deck. You MUST as soon as possible get your opponent to 1 recruit and 1 builder (and 1 mage for last battle), keeping resources under 8 so he cant have more. To do so, you will need "remove bicks" "remove weapons" "remove crystals" and the excellent "thief". The sacrifices are really helpful (2 of each are enough). Then you'll have to grow, so recruits, builders and mages, 5 of each. Finally, when your opponent is forced to discard quite each turn (or playing weak cards), finish him the way you want (construction or direct castle damage). Generally speaking, try never getting under 8 resource so you can always play producers (this is the obvious key of beginning battles : get producers, its now or never). Finally, you will have to make your deck turn a lot, discarding series of 3 cards whenever necessary (because you will not play the same cards on each part of the battle). Last thing : be lucky, specially for the south-west one :D

Attention whores everyone get that you hate the multiplayer badge suck it up i got it in 7 games bitches quit whining
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Why is everyone saying that the multiplayer badge is impossible... i have all the key unlockables, and i dont think anyone ever left my battle before i won >_> just play people in the smaller rooms... they tend to be more considerate
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
if you need help getting the hard badge i can give some hints, take out all offensive troops and spells besides "Steal" and max out all building castle items and some fences, and just focus on getting to 100 castle, easiest way possible imo

do + if you either think if ur opponent quits you win, or the multiplayer wins badge should be an impossible badge (XD)

For people having trouble with the hard campaign: I finished it with several decks. The most important one mainly had tower-constructing cards and only 1 offensive card (otherwise the deck would be too small).
The other deck I used was a low-cost offensive deck, for stages in which the computer tends to defeat your castle in only a few turns. Using low-cost cards let's you finish the computer after just a few turns.
