hate how you end up haveing to disscard 3 or 4 times in a row when vrsn the computer. gives you nothing for supplys often starting the game with no playable cards allso seems like the comp knows ware all you cards are =s 2 stars for graphix but ill stick with castle wars 1

Trojan Horse is very overpowered in Multiplayer, and unfair on players just beginning, the cost should be greater, though that wont change how very powerful it is.

I love how the game looks now, graphic-wise. I was really excited to see this new update. But the interface leaves quite a bit to be desired. Not saying that the game isn't playable, but surely there had to be a less jumbled way of sorting the resources and suppliers. Otherwise, fantastic.

The graphics are much better and the new cards are nice. I'm not a fan that you took the music from Seven Kingdoms and used it for the japanese battles.

3/5 because 2 things:
a) sometimes the CPU simply stops working. It's really annoying.
b) It's impossible to beat 5 multiplayer because the quit option.

I see you implemented the 'bot plays like a whiny kid' mode. I whittled the guy down to all 1s for resources, and he just takes forever on his turn--as if throwing the game so that you can't win. Of course, this is on the Easy final castle as the Hard race.... Arrgh.

Ooh, sure, it looks innocent, a little taunt here, a cheap laugh there, then next thing you know, BAM, the layout turns black (or some darker generic "Cool" color), the chatrooms get filled with trolls (Already underway), and suddenly kongregate turns into newground's annoying brother in-law...
BAD kongregate... Don't make me get my rolled-up newspaper on you..

Making it so if they quit and then you win would be stupid, a bunch of people would just have a friend go on and quit 5 times and it would be an instant badge.

I beat hard without too much trouble. My deck breezed through easy and medium, and I just restarted in hard until I got some builder cards to get me going. My deck, showing the number of cards I used for each from left to right, top to bottom was as follows:

Hope this helps anyone who's feeling like hard mode is a bit impossible.

If you are having trouble getting resources, your deck needs a redesign: Always have 5 of Builder/Recruit/Mage, 5 copies of Add Weapon, 5 copies of Thief (Thief best card in the game). If they use Sacrifice X cards, try to bait the AI into using them when you only have 2 builders/rec/mage, since you can't drop to 0.

First thing I did was beat it on hard. As soon as I got the trojan horse along the way, I switched to a 75-card deck with absolutely no wall/castle building cards. Makes for fast games, powered through it pretty easily from there.

Went undefeated in Hard mode with this defense focused deck: 5 thief, 3 recruit, 1 all weapons, 5 mage, 4 pixies, 3 mag defense, 3 add weapons, 4 add crystals, 5 a.d.d bricks, 2 all crystals, 5 builders, 5 tower, 5 tavern, 5 house, 2 Babylon, 2 school, 2 fence, 4 wain, 5 all bricks, 4 large wall, 2 reverse.
Just aim to get your castle to 100 and you’ll be set, I really focused on getting my builders and mages up as high as I possible and use tavern or pixies a much as I could. It worked for every battle. :D

i dont know if im just slow, but twice now i've ran out of materials to any cards...and there doesnt seem to be a skip your turn button...might be worth adding

The bugs in this game are getting REALLY annoying. I've had several games in a row now where some game-crashing bug has occurred, and on three of them, it was just before I won.

this is a HUGE step up from the last castle wars. i wasn't even expecting a sequel, but i must say that i am thoroughly impressed by the new range of cards, the huge upgrade in graphics, and a campaign mode

This gets a 3/5 for the multiplayer ragequit problem, the lack of charm from the original, some bad card choices, and why does the castle look really cool when destroyed, but when it is 100% is looks like a... castle?

Quick multiplayer winning tip.
Add 5 wain, 5 magic weapon and 5 Ambush.
1.Don't spent any magic or weapon until you have enough resources to activate Magic weapon, then use Ambush. If opponent try to increase castle life, use wain to decrease it. if you don't have the cards, discard 3 cards per turn until you have it. This may not work vs experienced player, but when you win, you win quickly.
2. Archer and fire archer are good against magic shield.

Why does it hide your cards while the computer takes it's turn, it only last a second but it's alittle annoying when planing ahead.

For the campaign mode on hard, you just have to play the game like 20 times... until you get a good enough situation... they should really make it possiable to win though, if you have to keep waiting until the enemy is super unlucky...its kinda unfair...they kill all ure resuorce makers & than just keep sending stuff to kill u while ure waiting for a turn...

Here's the deck that won me the game without losing after making it. 5 of each of these cards: Thief, Guards, Mage, Pixies, Add Weapons, Add Crystals, Add Bricks, All Crystals, Tower, Tavern, House, Wall, Wain, All Bricks, Reverse. The game is still terribly imbalanced though :P
