Decent game. Just goes to show that you don't need super-impressive graphics, as long as your gameplay is solid.
Also, triple-shot maxed frag-grenades. Don't even bother with anything else.

You need to be able to see the capabilities of the items you are buying. DO I want the lasers or the sonic weapon? I can't tell until I've bought it, that made me waste a lot of $$.
If I have to buy the planes in order make it so that the higher level planes are unavailable until the power level ones are purchased. I wasted a ton of time saving up for the best plane only to find out I had to buy all the ones in between.
Descriptions of the weapon effects would also be nice, it would have been good to know that the rockets have limited range.
By level ten it was nearly impossible to kill anything and my super bomb was practically useless. The enemies got to strong. I ain't playing the same level a thousand times until I have every power-up at level ten to beat them. I quit, 3/5

Some people may disagree with this, but you may want to make it so ships dont drop any money when you collide with them and kill them. All I am doing to farm money right now is suiciding my plan in to the ships and collecting like 4k each time.

Very unique game following old school concepts. I like the 'notebook' graphics, although the graphics arent amazing, it runs very smoothe. I enjoyed wasting my time on this one!

Seems to be a good game so far...but when I went back and replayed the 3rd level, with two plasma shots, I defeated the boss before his second wave of attackers. This made the game hang, and flash player crash. You might want to fix that.

By the way, the speed upgrade at the bottom is for your gun's speed, not your plain's. So wait until you get a gun you want before upgrading.

I have a bunch of bad guys, shooting them like crazy, bullets flying at me, then all of a sudden they dissappear and "You Win". The bullets stay so theoretically I guess I could die, but the ships just vanish along with the coins I would have received... Why not wait until the bad guys, or you, are dead to finish a level???
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
it seems like the pixels are off just a touch when getting shot which makes it really hard to dodge bullets. The bullet doesn't hit my plane, but it hits that invisible barrier that is around my plane and i get hit...

A great example of how simple, original and fun-looking graphics will always be able to match the latest fancy, realistic stuff in the world of Flash gaming.

By way of (hopefully) constructive criticism, I would recommend that you de-power the Cluster Bomb a little - once you upgrade it 3 or 4 times it really takes most of the challenge of the game. To offset that, I wonder if you could increase the clipping a little? I've always found one of the most fun elements of games like this to be dodging hostile fire. Now maybe I'm just not skilled enough at this particular game, but it seemed that any attempts at slipping between the enemy's bullets always resulted in my ship getting damaged. If you could make dodging more possible, I think it would really improve the game.
Anyway - great game! I enjoyed it pretty thoroughly - especially the 'notebook' style animation. Very cool!

good game but id like to know a little bit about the uprgades before i buy them like the frags were retarded i just wasted 16k on them

It's a really fun game - until you get the cluster bomb and upgrade it a few times. Those babies pretty much decimate everything on the screen. Dayum!

Love the graphics, but if you could make the collectables a bit more visible that would be ace, such as maybe a bold line around them as I sometimes can't see then amongst other planes.
Awesome game still, 5/5

The prices for upgrades, or at least the visuals on the prices, are a bit bugged. When you buy an upgrade, the price increases immensely. When you then complete a level, the prices are lowered, a lot. The game's all right, but I think it's a bit too focused on having to get upgrades (I rarely could continue on with the next level immediately after completing a former one, because I was too weak).

Know what would make this game less terrible? If enemies didn't have so much health that ramming them wasn't the best strategy. By the last level, the only thing you're using weapons on is turrets. The weapons are TOTALLY worthless, and trying to fight enemies costs more health from their bullets, and misses half of them anyway.
Almost a great game, but the balance is so out-of-whack that it just makes you want to punch someone in the face.

Autofire would be nice, as said, as well as a keyboard option. Also, at least for me, the mouse is often quite unresponsive, and I will stay in the same place for a few seconds after I have moved my mouse.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@0AP0 stop hating your complaints are minor and dont effect anything after two levels of play you should see what the badges are kill/stars/levels beat. and i know my mouse doesnt need a death grip to shoot

The game not bad at all, especially doing with hand drawn arts. Everything goes well from smooth player's manuever, decent firepower, background music and balancing enemies(eventhough I think those objects just equipped with standard AI). But shmups nowadays almost didn't provide something new, just such as 'history repeated itself', same mechanism-with different skin..... (If only Siterskain or Ruminant's Whimper ever ported their shmup games in flash) -impossible mission- stop dreamin' ^_^

@matakukos: Thanks for the update, definitely worth the wait, this is a really solid game, hopefully we can get some badges and other stuff for it. 5/5

Upgrading the "bullet"'s damage has no effect... Im at level 3 and it still says 6 damage.,.. still takes two shots to kill a blue plane on level 1 - WTF
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Why not tell what the badges are beforehand? I didn't get them all after beating the game, but I feel no need to go back and try to earn them as I wouldn't know how to go about that.

Good job, dude! Not too crazy about the fact that you have to control with the mouse AND hold down the mouse button. You might as well just let it auto fire so players' don't have to sit and clench their mouse all the time. 4/5, and 5/5 if you change it.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Really needs an autofire option. No need for someone to hold the mouse with a death grip just to keep a button pressed for minutes on end.

From the sounds of this I really want to play it, but when I click Play all I get is a green screen with a blue arrow.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Love it :) Though the hitbox is a little to big, it feels like you get hit long before the bullets actually are in contact of your ship
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
great grafic and nice gameplay :) in my oppinion its better to upgrade one ship (armour and collect radius) than buy other ships - upgrading a ship should also result in new grafic devises on the ship - anyway 5/5

Great shooter. Great look, decent music and sound effects, nice upgrade system, nice challenge, awards system and Kong API. Who could ask for more. Please keep this sketch style coming to us players with a plethora of more games.

I cannot see why this game is bad. The artwork are awesome even they're made from a notebook. Clever style of play and it can get really intense later on. This game should have a sequel and at least a storyline.
