whats with people and wanting the game to look better? its fine the way it is, has no one here ever played a rogue like or what, games can be made solely for gameplay and have little to no graphics and still be DAMN GOOD GAMES, this is a clear example of this.

I see that the levels of this incredible puzzle (it's about time that someone used a toroidal field as something besides a sidenote!) are randomly generated; the code must be absolutely DELICIOUS. Seriously, it could be on par with my mom's cooking.

For all of you who think this was stolen from loops of zen I suggest you do some research. This was a development of his earlier game, lightshift, which was out 3 months BEFORE loops of zen. If any idea was stolen then loops of zen was taken from him, not the other way around.

A great game to feature a badge of the day. From all games that can be played beyond the last achievment this is one of few I really played much even after getting it.

I've been familiar with such a game in mono mode that's way too easy. Therefore I'm glad this game adds color mode and wrapping. Way harder. I just've finished the daily badge plus the medium one. Color mode is really cool and wraping adds quite some difficulty, so finishing lvl20 was satisfying. Impossible + impossible? Seems quite impossible to me. Sweet there are 5 difficulties to choose from. Solid puzzle, 5 stars from me.

This may help some people who missed this in the instructions:
In wrap mode, you can use the arrow keys to move the grid around. That way you can connect them more easily.

I've been playing this since 2010. Still doesn't get old, and probably my all-time favorite. Thanks for a great game!

I play a lot of the games on this site, but the one I always come back to is this one. Really fun puzzle game with a lot of staying power.

Thinking pretty highly of myself after passing level 300... look at the high scores list and see numbers in the thousands... brain explodes! Seriously though, I hand it to you guys. Also, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who might be a just a little obsessed with this game ;)

The "impossible + impossible = hard" badge turned out to be an extremely satisfying exercise, after all. This is a very recommendable game. And I second the idea of "locking" squares that you know are right; even though the game is already winnable without it, it would increase playability quite a bit.

I think something about the light display is halucinogenic. After about 30 levels, I started to see the puzzles when I closed my eyes. By now I see light puzzle maze things to solve wherever I look: at school, in the car, on the ground. I can't stop thinking about this game and it kind of worries me. Anyone else have this constantly on their mind?
Nope, netwalk :) I was trying to make it more interesting - multiple sources, dummy tiles, bridges, links and mixing are all attempts to make it less trivial. The curves in the graphics were inspired by loops of zen. Everything else is pretty much coincidental.

Glory, this game uses the light color palette, not the paint color palette. The primary colors in light are red, green, blue (RGB). The way the dev mixes these colors is exactly correct.

If this game was available for iOS I would pay for it and encourage everybody I know to do the same. It's frusrating that such an amazing flash game is being poorly imitated on iOS and those imitators are making the money... I discovered this gem on Kongregate years ago and still find myself coming back for more!

I play this game now atleast once a day. Absolutely love it, been working my way up the lvls on 3 different computers. I wish you would consider making this into an iPhone app. and then give us a nudge when you have. :)

I love this game and have spent WAAAAAAY too many hours playing while at work... I just wish the leaderboard was a little more accurate. I play for speed but seeing the top 100 on Impossible are all under 1 second, I call shenanigans... Still love the game though.

If you are having trouble completing the hard badge, use the arrow keys to move around. It may help you see links better.

Complete the "level-200" achievement, and think I'm finally free. Click the "next level," just for kicks--LEVEL 201! (Not even to mention the custom option I've used countless times) ... Yep, I'm addicted ;D I'd rate it 6 stars if I could; thank you so much mrsneeze!

The feeling when you're playing impossible/colour and everything has been perfect for half an hour except that one last light bulb... 5/5 anyways, i'll work this out!

just made a custom game on maxed parameters to see what it looks like.. the only thought that came to my mind then was "HOLY SHIT!" ÔO

As much as I have been playing this game a slight modification has come to mind. I would love it if you could pan by clicking, holding down, and moving with the mouse rather than the arrow keys. No big deal, just a thought.

When I close my eyes I only see colourshift...even after one night and half a day not playing xD A great and addictive game. But I have to stop now after reaching lvl 100.

Would love to see a method (shift+click?) to lock a "known" tile. Oh, and for those who seem to be mistaken: This is not a Simon Tatham game, at least not originally. His implementation is based off one made by Pavils Jurjans. It's even in the credits on SGTatham's puzzle pack, if you look.

Did you know that you can move the field with the arrow keys, while in wrap mode? that way, you can avoid the wrapping completly.

This game most certainly wasn't "stolen" from Loops of Zen. I remember having a game like this where you had to connect PCs in a web from at least 15 years ago back on Windows 95. Feels very nostalgic playing this now.

Moving the grid with the arrow keys made the "impossible" puzzles feel a lot less impossible. Great game, equal parts challenging and fun!
