I have been playing this game on and off for the last 6 years of so, but today, just before Flash is perma-blocked on Chrome permanently, i decided to beat it once and for all! Take that, Sun King!!!

best start = use sand worm to kill fake prophits and the healing preist while using confusion to help reaper and skeletons

Man... I really am the man behind the slaughter in this game. around 16k total kills. too bloody easy to do infinite survival mode with earthquake, lightning, reaper, soul jar, lightning and spirit blade.

@TheKri: It's BECAUSE of all the spooky stuff humans still want to build that temple. After all, when you have supernatural stuff going on, best to make sure your god is the strongest. Of course, it would be easier to change which god you worship, but humans are stubborn and will follow the government religion. /shrug

I personally think this is better than the sequel because this one got minion, earthsquake, and fighter enemies

Is there a way to see what each power actually... does? I can figure some of it out but I'm not really totally sure. I feel like I should know this info besides what I can just guess from what happens in-game, but I can't figure out how and I feel a but silly.

Fireballs are the only good thing. Everything else costs way too much. You HAVE to use fireballs mostly, and then whatever else to kill the priests. And leveling other skills is a pain in the rear because exp is gained from number of uses, not kills or anything. 2/5

Any advice on surviving 12 minutes? I made it to 9 but the big guys with a lot of health gave me too many problems. Polymorph seems to be promising but with so many slaves on the screen you don't seem to always sheep the one you click.

for some part, yes. though there are a few interesting games/concepts from time to time, they fact they all look pretty much the same is what bugs me though. always thought this and Rogue AI were exceptional, though the LACK OF SPELL HOTKEYS is enough to make me wanna scream.

If you feel like going for Survival 12 minute badge: Soul Jar, Confusion, Locusts, Skeleton, Earthquake, Reaper. Gave up at 42 minutes with this. Just keep throwing out that Soul Jar with as big of a combo as you can. Use Confusion to 1. Line up Soul Jar throws and 2. Have the enemies kill themselves. Locusts kill most slaves one shot. Having 3 minions means Reaper stays alive longer. The last 4 minutes of my run I just cycled between Confusion, Soul Jar, and Earthquake on 7th floor and just let the big baddies kill everything for me! + for newcomers :)

1/5 game is boring. i didnt even move my mouse in any of the level and mindlessly clicked and just beat level 3... i think the exp system can be improved on. it follows the same annoying style shown in "ffii," although in this game it is more forgivable since there arent as many variables in the enemies. at least some exp should be given to the other weapons because, if i were to keep playing this game, the fireball would be my main weapon and i would not consider anything else. im not sure what happens in later levels, but i think the sun god should have a presence in the stages. if im doing something that inhibits his worship, i would think he would put up a barrier or something to stop me; perhaps this is hinting to a plot point where neither of the gods exist and we just kill people. 1/5 gameplay, as it is, is too easy and limits weapon variety.

It would be nice to have shortcuts for spells e.g. 1-6 buttons. But that's the only thing I would change ;).
Very nice - not too long, not too short, challenging but not frustrating, funny story and simple but good graphics. 5/5
