Also, you should just be able to check what clan/high level magics are available. You shouldn't have to purchase something to leave that screen.

Ok without any explanation of strategy other then the basics I am disappointed in the game. Yes I read the "Steep learning curve" note.... I am level 65 and have fought 3 times and lost all battles. So far all I have done is train without any clue if the skills that I trained are any good. Game has promise but for me I have no clue how to even check my progress against an opponent.

In battle, spells should show how much special power they require. Otherwise it's hard to know when you'll be able to cast them.

Actually I take it back. Mana leak is slow, but the other skills for the Great Sea mages are just incredibly powerful. (Spoilers)
I became No. 1 right after I reported to the head of the black mages after saving the prison, far sooner than my last mage.

The battle that guy asks you to throw can take AGES if you've ever upgraded your health. Give that guy more attacks or mana or something. 25 turns later he hasn't killed me yet.

Mana leak is far too slow. By the time I get their mana to empty I've been hit with poison that ticks for 30+ damage a turn.

Bug: At first, I get freezed and I can't do low or high attacks (I assume this is how it's supposed to work), then two turns later, I STILL can't do a low or high attack. That kind of rapidly depletes HP and doesn't really make it fun in any way or form.

It seems like most of the strategy is in the first thirty minutes of the games, while you're choosing your skills...I happened to stumble on a ridiculously good setup.

I rarely write comments, but for this game i had to make an exception...
so beautifully made, not for 1 (one) second have i lost my will to play this game, so many choices, so many things to do.
5/5
no words 1 (one) of the best games i have ever played.

I got a pretty f'd up history lol. Ranked last in the first tournament. Joined the black robes for power and after that pretty much became like hitler..... but succeeded.

There is a name for what you're doing in this game sometimes, but I don't like it. How am I supposed to know what enemies are able to be beat and which aren't? The corruptor isn't possible to beat (I'm not sure if there are different storylines in different clans, but whatever), and neither is the tutorial. I've beat the rest, but they kind of require you to restart a few times to see which strategy is actually needed.

i loved the first one , and this is even better, Great game
good job guys ,(btw the skills that improve your special are way to overpowered, jo get an unfair advantage in the third round , inflict opponent with your debuff , and than youst '"overpower" him) ^^ but it feels good to be strongest mage of the world even with this advantage.

Hmmm, just got elected leader of the white robes on a tie! Maybe there should be some sort of fight off in that situation? Or someone should get the casting vote?

Additionally, you should be able to see the Special/Clan skills at the start. Pretty annoying to level up to 20 and notice you don't have "additional lower bolts" available, which was crucial to your "strategy" (if you can call it that).

The Poison special power seems incredibly weak compared to some others... Also, different battles require a different skill build, but considering you have no way to anticipate a battle, there seems to be little alternative to finding a cookie cutter build and sticking to it...

HP and MP should increase at the same rate, if only to prevent ultra double shot spam from winning every single fight.

It's good, but a bit like a novel where the first hundred pages tell you what the main character has for breakfast every day, how often he goes to the loo...it would be good to speed up the tedium of the initial bit of training to get rid of this.
and could we have more things happening when exploring? even if they aren't significant events, just some colour rather than nothing happens events would be good.

High Bolts or Low Bolts+Additional High Bolts+Additional Low Bolts+Additional High or Low Bolts+Increase Attack Power of Bolts+Burning= Super Rape. Might also want to throw in Decrease Special spell just incase your opponent doesn't actually die from that attack...which I highly doubt, but it wouldn't hurt to use a few extra mana to insure that your opponent can't throw something nasty at you after spending a chunk of mana. The combination should use roughly 100 to 120 mana. And I'm serious...that combination should be able to kill any mage in the game.

Really good, 100x better than the previous one. One thing I would have liked would be the ability to add stats you gained in between battles in a series of battles. At the very end I killed every single black mage I was allowed to and had like 56 stat points from killing all them. But since there was a series of battles with no break I couldn't add them, and I ultimately died to the final guy for the Great Mage because he had a 600 dmg uber combo shot. Still, love this game. 5/5.

BS i became the leader of the black robes and thats game over? i was only rank 75... we should be able to play until we are leader of our robe, and rank 1

Very entertaining game. It could use some polish, and it has some balance issues, but I did spend way too much time playing it today, so I have to call it a win.
There are a few dead-end strategies. I see some people complaining about being unable to win a certain fight, but that just pushes you towards a different ending. There are a couple of ending you have to earn. That said, I doubt anybody is ever going to earn the Invincible title.
Overall, I think each clan had a very good feel to it, and I liked how you had to take the time to learn how to use their abilities. The Poison Water and Dark Wood clans need a little tweaking, but their idea is solid.
I'm looking forward to the updates, and the next game. Great job.

Mana leak is WAAAY too overpowered. I got mana leaked for 25 per turn, and lost straight away. It doesn't give you a chance to do anything becuase you instantly lose the mana that you gain from 'rest'
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
game was fun until i ran into a mana leak mage, that killed the game, way over powered, so is freeze(no where close to as bad) i cant even rest to gain any mana at all
