ok, i'm feeling a little let down about the ending, and i'm reasonably good at finding alternate endings, unless i'm actually missing something really well hidden, so if that's the case, could someone throw me a bone here or something?

A strange little tale with plenty of shady characters, but only one of whom can be actually guilty. Mixed feelings about the "possession" mechanic. Lots of pointless conversations, but then I guess the point is that you have to sift out the crucial facts from all the white noise. Didn't like that I had to keep marching back and forth and that the ghost can't go through doors; retro graphics is no excuse for inconvenience. Never got stuck at any point, my usual fear with point-and-click games like these. (Hint: Cricket really is the key player in all this, and you'll have to spend more time with him than anyone else.) Didn't like the pointless mean-spiritedness, but at least it didn't go overboard. Clean it up a bit, make it easier to get around, and you have a nice little casual game. Yes, I actually know what that means. :-) 3/5

I have to applaud you. This game was completely unique. It had a play style unlike that of any other game I have yet found in a game, had an engaging and intriguing story, it had deep and well thought-out characters with different personalities, and it was straight-up fun to play. It became tedious at times, going through each room one by one as each different person, but I was so hellbent on finding answers and learning more about this band of characters that I didn't even notice how much time it had taken until after I was finished playing and looked at the clock. 5/5. I didn't want it to end. I hope more comes out of this, like a series. :)

People of the site, please notice: This version is a little bit broken. This game has a secret/alternate ending, which this very version does not have enabled. If you want to be straightforward, and simply play through, go ahead, it won't get in the way of your experience. But if you want some replay value, this isn't the version to go. I hope the uploader will update it at some point...

I've hit the same bug twice now. Right during/after the conversation where [REDACTED] tells you to meet them [REDACTED], I'm unable to move at all. The game essentially freezes right before the end. Very frustrating.

holy crap... I had the game muted, but the gunshot at the very end still played, blaring through my speakers... scared the crap outa me. Great game btw. Didn't expect the ending.

For anybody who wonders "Wait, I had him possessed, why did he do that??", remember *which* ghost is doing the possessing!

I would have liked a different ending, but I expected it and it was a great ending. 5/5 It was a interesting way to solve a mystery. I love how when you possess people, you gain their personality.

The alcoholic (I am terrible at remembering names) saws you leaving the crime scene ... could he possibly take part in the same "business" as the owner does ? And who's the shitter ? How could the doll know someone else would die ? Is our main character the serial murderer or it is the receptionist ? (the little girl says he is choosing someone).
OMG .... sequel !

This game deserves five stars, great play! However, it's a little buggy for me--especially when changing between rooms.

Well, this was fun. Until I unpossessed someone in an entryway and walked someone else in the room. Now neither of them can move :/

Woah. the gameplay and the events/plotline made this incredible.
And the ending. Woah. Just woah woah woah.
Screwing my mind.

*looking back on this game after a few years*
Ugh, what obnoxious crapnugget wrote that? And why is it on the top comments?
*next day, checks the name*

I finally found the real ending, but apparently you can only do that on newgrounds, as this version is more like a mutilated demo. It is really annoying actually.
