Why does the walkthrough for level VI show you having a 2nd mage henchmen, when you don't actually get her in Level V? It would definitely make sense to have her, but I don't. Very frustrating.

nice game, but exp system for new units is really awful, to start in low lvl again to lvl up him, thats take so much time :/

argh, lvl 8 is a pain............ plus leveling up new heroes is really difficult later in the game, bu a great game overall 4/5

@ceruleandragon: You need to play the game some more. There are several ways to play the game. You can go the approach of simply setting down the heroes and hoping you win, or you can go the route of using active skills.
Please have an informed opinion before you blast a game like that.

@ceruleandragon: heroes have skills to heal the allies (warrior's prayer), to recover mana (spiritual healing), to protect from monster damage (heart of steel) and many more "utility" skills and from the middle of campaign on micromanaging them is absolutely necessary, not to mention relocating which on some levels is a valid strategy to win. i see you are a mod and also an experienced player - i respect that - but please check your facts before lashing out.

Boring and slow. Extremely limited game play with just the 3 heroes to start. I know, you unlock more later, but I don't see how that would be any more fun. You set them down, hit go, and walk away. Hope you survive. There's nothing you can do to help them, you can't heal them, you can only move one (the demon hero with the right skill), and if one of them dies that pretty much ends the game. If you're doing so poorly that enough bad guys get to the end and kill him/her, then you're doomed, there's no last minute thing you can do to try to catch up or pull off a last-minute recovery. How this game scored so highly is a mystery. It's a cool environment though, 2/5.

Pros:Very fun and difficult. I love the idea and the skill trees
Cons:There needs to be more preparation time. It need a "Manage Heroes" button to change your hero's skill before a battle.
4/5

Needs to have a "Send first wave" button for adequate setup time, right-clicking in game while using Firefox on a x64 system freezes the browser, definitely needs some kind of way to swap skills quickly, a little too much grinding for a game that doesn't really require you to be present for the grind. Besides ALL that, good job. I'm not telling you your rating though :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
rather hard, sides not really my game, since it contains out of grinding, which im stuck with because i somehow cant kill the waves anymore when they overlap to much

At certain levels some mana intensive skills will cost more mana than your maximum, making it impossible to use the skill. Be careful with metal apocalypse and any other high cost skills.

i really don tlike this game because 95% of your time is waiting for your heros to level up and 5% is actually choosing one skill making the hero slightly better, very boring and suckish 1/5

The game's skill tree system is similar to diablo/wow in that you can't have more than a specific amount in any skill than minimum level + level of skill. If you read the help section before playing, it lets you know that gate and nightwings have to be in the first slot to be active.

For the demon class, it won't let me equip the nightwing ability. Also, cannot put more then 4 points into strike with hate. Pretty good otherwise.

All of you are missig the point, and the point would be: Other bands play, MANOWAR kills! (Most of the powers are references to Manowar songs.) Death to false metal!

it sucks new hero's start at lv 1, let new hero's be like 1-4 levels lower then ur lowest one sou dont have to play lv 1 4 times again, then lv 2, then lv 3 etc...

Level 6 starts becoming slow to level on around level 20, because you're supposed to use good tactics to beat it by then. Warrior's Prayer (healing) is very powerful for that level when leaking guys. Heart of Steel seems useful if a boss (starred guy) leaks. I put all my guys at the bottom piece of land that sticks out (at the fork).

i like how the levels transfer to each place instead of having to upgrade with money or something but with that said i find the best way to beat any level is to grind which irritates me alot

Thanks for fixing the sun path tooltip! But it reminded me of another problem I've been noticing! The tooltip says + when it should be x in a lot of places. +60% spell recharge indicates a longer cooldown, while x60% would indicate 60% recharge time. Similarly, sun/moon path (and others) say +105% which indicates more than double the crit%/pierce%. All the same, loving the game :)

I liked the game for a while, until it turned into repetitive grinding. The skills and levels were a good idea, as well as unlockable characters, but I started running into a problem around level 20 where almost all of the characters stopped levelling up, and I came within 3 kill of beating level 6 with a constant max of 4 kills. All in all, it's a great idea with potential, but the fact that the levelling comes to almost a dead stop is almost as bad a gamekilling bug. 2/5, however, if I would be able to play the game completely though without such massive grinding hiccups, you would easily have a 4/5 (this is hour 2 I've been grinding to try to beat level 6)

Just a note, I keep getting port scan violations from this game. At least, this seems to be the only place it could be coming from... careful.

it's a great game, the idea is brilliant, only one weak spot is that u can't even play a lv 1 mode when your hero's are level 10, i tried it, but still i lost them. got 5 hero's . that should be balanced so u can get more exp without repeating the same levels all the time. make them just a bit harder so after u finish lv3 u cna play a lv 1 hell mode. great idea, not massing towers but a few wich get stronger in all battles they fight in.
just love it 4/5

I feel as if this takes all the elements of most PC RPGs that I hate (grinding, fiddly tech-trees, &c.) and puts it unnecessarily into the context of a TD game. I like the graphics and the music; backgrounds could be more varied.
