If you touch the boss with any armor, the game locks up. It seems that the boss does exactly enough damage to kill you without armor, so if you aren't dead after taking the hit the game gets confused.

Great small game. Good music, excellent visual presentation, simple and elegantly executed. Bravo!
You need an instant restart level button, for people who obsessively want to get flawlesses.

Beautiful little game. I found the normal difficulty to be a bit too easy, but I see there is a hardcore unlock. I really enjoyed how the controls force you to move in serpentine patterns to avoid being hit.

Well I like this version of Snake. It is a good step from old classic and i love the theme and how all the creatures look (Especially the Snake :D). It really takes good maneuvering. Good Job Playpanic.

On level 14 my snake cannot be moved (mouse cursor isn't captured by the game), it is not moving so the level cannot be started. Too bad, I was so close the finish it :S

not as fun as the original snake. The problem for me is that the snake can stand still. Force the snake to constantly move and put it on a 2d grid and this would be a lot more fun.

I had this nightmare the other day that all these kids who grew up only playing all those damned FPS games like Halo suddenly became game developers and started putting out games they called revolutionary and unique, but they were just all the old arcade games like asteroids and tetris and snake given better graphics. They had just *gasp* never played any of the original games.
And then I played this game. Perhaps I have the power of prophecy or something. I believe it would behoove playpanic to play some of these older arcade games before going around claiming to introduce fresh mechanics.
2.5 for a much-needed makeover, but the game itself is prone to lagging, and the mouse sensitivity is apparently on a hair-trigger.

And by stupidly difficult (i.e. artificial difficulty), I mean that you can: Die before you even spawn on the level, barely get the health upgrades, and the volleys of five/six darts are impossible to dodge at that length.
Thought you avoided them? Nope. Nudging the mouse just made four of them hit you all at once while you avoided only one...

Pretty sweet mechanics for a snake game. Adds a whole new degree of movement and detail from the old. although, the snake should, as mentioned above, follow the path traced by the mouse, not be attached to it. Other than that, short and fun game, 5/5.

I don't like the fact that the snake can accelerate with the mouse. It doesn't feel like I am controlling the snake at all.

Some people have been saying that the snake doesn't increase in size, and it doesn't. I really like this game and found it to be a good example of updating a retro game and giving it more depth and playability, even if some of the controls make it less challenging.
