4 stars. The difficulty ramps up smoothly, the weapons and specials change as you upgrade them keeping it fresh.
Standing problems, the radar and money counter are hard to see. Couldn't find the money counter until the third mission, didn't even realize I had a radar until the sixth mission.
Music is pretty neutral. it doesn't make me want to claw my ears off, which is good, but it doesn't make me feel like I'm piloting a 60 ton mech blowing the hell out of everything that moves, either.
Very good game, though!
Theres some issues depending on your system. Theres a demo avaiable at www.garegame.com that you can try for free. Features other stuff that are not present in the web version of the game. And im sure it will run on your system :)

Could the level bonus be removed from the early levels after you hit a high enough level. Bit silly that you can become level 100 in a relatively short time by just doing level 1 over and over again and just picking up that level bonus thing

the fastest les are certainly the best, rather than a shield that absorbs bullets the special has a better function as a trap that damages any enemy stupid enough to come into contact with it, when upgraded, once it's duration ends it shoots out a ring of bullets which I believe depend on what weapon you have equiped (equip the rockets, it blankets the screen with explosions)

I found a bad glitch in mission 4... in the upper left hand quadrant, when you implement the shield special all the enemies and pickups disappear, making it impossible to complete the mission and forcing you to quit --and lose everything you've gained. I can't continue until that's fixed.

Yep. Your system does not support the creation of another BitmapData with the dimensions that this mission requires. The size of all the maps are in line with the specifications adobe gave to me, both in dimensions and total number of pixels. Refer to their documentation if you need more clarification on how to solve this issue.

With all those annoying shield shit the enmies are putting up all the time, its really easier to just run right through them.

to be honest the reflect shield legs are so powerful against the bosses on 10. you can easily defeat them with best reflect shield legs.

I don't see developer credits anywhere. You need to add this as another page in the mission select menu. Get your due props!

from what i can see from the image, the last tier of the 2nd weapon is basically a bunch of the 3rd tiers put together to make a two huge miniguns

Nice game.Love the tron style theme with mechs. What is the significance of the slots.I assumed they saved your progress but logged in to continue where I left off and saw nothing was saved.Do I need to adjust something in my flash settings to be able to save my progress or is it not working yet? None the less, it kept me busy for a few.The music track is pretty sublime on a cosmic level, and not that annoying cartoony midi crap you find on alot of other games.Keep up with the progress.Very good game.

This is a great game. Its perfect for xBox Live Arcade (if you want to sell to a console market). Rather than put it as a retail disc there would be no manufacturing costs AND you can have rolling updates and integrate new content seamlessly. No I don't represent Microsoft, I just think you have a good game and should look at the broad market

i feel that this game has so much going for it. It has killer graphics, intense combat and great progrssion of difficulty. There is only one thing it is lacking, MORE!!!
or just a sequel

The Congratulations screen needs to NOT be on a timer. I got up to "It has been determined that you will receive the Azuli medal." and then it went away. Overall 4/5

Great game! One small change that I think would add a lot to the game is to give names for the different upgrade parts.

Yeah I played through 'til mission 6 and the ramming strategy remains viable as long as you keep upgrading chassis...was this intentional?

The game is a great base - however it needs some balancing. There is no penalty for just constantly firing, so it is very easy to blast enemies at range. Since you choose when to teleport, some levels are very easy to farm. The laser and reticle defense systems are very strong, especially with the constrained area you have to move. They can easily trap you.

I like almost everything about the game but two things:
1. I'd like the edges of walkable areas to be better defined.
2. I'd like a little more room to navigate, or at least have some open "kill zone" areas.
I tried that pete. The problem with open areas is the 640/532 resolution. Its important to have at least one solid in the screen to give a sense of direction.
But i tend to agree with you. If i made a gare2 or something i will raise the resolution to allow for diferent size of robots and more "landscape" if you will.

The ONE problem with this game is the camera angle (and the fact that you're the same color as the backgrounds and enemies... okay, maybe there's two problems): It makes it hard to know where exactly you can can walk bhind (or under?) buildings because of the odd perspective which I think it top-down, except the buildings seem to be more... well, a 3/4 view.

fastest way to get money, start at level 1 and bump all the robots till you kill them all and go straight to teleport
