After so many years this game will always have a place in my heart even though Pseudolonewolf didn't continue the series. It has the potential to be one of great flash games.

For those curious about how to play MARDEK RPG: Chapter 1 post-Flash with the SuperNova SWF Enabler plug-in, use this address provided below by copying the entirety of it and pasting it onto the address bar at the top of your browser to ensure that it bypasses the ‘GameShell’ issue that have plagued many earlier games of Kongregate: supernova://play/?swfurl=https://chat.kongregate.com/gamez/0000/5267/live/MARDEK1.swf?kongregate_game_version=1282393631 Make sure that your latest installation of SuperNova works correctly, as it will not function if it cannot load games that can work fine without this bypassing of the SWF files here. As a tip for this game, it is worth practicing the 'reactions' system for battles here as, although minor when done infrequently, can make the difference between victory or defeat in the tougher battles when attacking the enemy and healing as well as evading their attacks.

I gotta say the huff-puff is pretty broken for grinding, i make a run ending with lvl 10 just using huff-puff and got bored so i just get the 40 fights to get inmunity to sleep and finished the game

Oh my gosh, it's really worth to take the time and talk to every npc! Some lines are hilarious, some are ridiculous and some are ... uh, interesting O.O

I find that I can't press "x" or "z" keys they are unresponsive, only when I right click on the game screen do they start registering. My arrow keys and menu key (enter) work just fine.

ooh, this game was pretty neat i'll be honest. i especially liked it when the lvl 50 heroes didn't die horribly to pave way for the actual protagonist.
i'll be annoyed i have funky and inconsistent savefiles, though, with how i did the sidequest in a different save to the one i've cleared the game with, and how i didn't save at all the points and stuff. pretty lame indeed.

i need to look into finding a more secure save at this point... this will be the 4th or 5th time im replaying it, be it because of a new device or played on a site that wasnt as supported. i was right at the end of chapter 3, only having to do the solo arenas, superbosses, and final dungeon...

I really like rpg so i want to play this game but there is a little problem. I would appriciate, if you could put some alternative controls to it? My arrow keys are somewhat broke long ago so pretty please...! I wanna play this game :D

So it has been a while since I played this game, is it possible some lines got changed ? Or even whole dialogues ? It doesnt feel as *smart* as before.

What really makes these games work is the humor. Without the humor and the story behind it, this game sometimes feels like an endless grind to get the passive buffs on every character, which would normally not make for very good gameplay.
