I keep having a problem where I'll sporadically either not be able to move or move in a direction other than what the keys I'm pressing would indicate. Given how difficult this game is, it's something of a crippling disadvantage.

An Awesome game for Touhou fans and Techno lovers. I am, for one, a fan of Both of these(Eventhough I'm not good at them...But still love 'em. :) ) 5/5 Also 2-Player WOOT!!

After reading some of these comments, I feel great with the progress I made. I competed every level without dying. Using the arrow keys (Granted, I had to revisit some levels after getting a few upgrades)
The point of the slow was to help you dodge the bullets, as everything slows down. On later levels, you pretty much can keep the slow effect on without ever running out of juice. You can also fire bullets while slowing time. If you can't get a clear shot on the boss for long, then you can just fire bullets as you dodge (Just try to get the last round of bullets to hit, as they deal the most damage).
Personally, I think improving the ship's speed isn't a good idea, as I don't want to try to readjust to the speed of the ship. Plus, the point was to dodge the bullet, not outrun it.
Lasers were probably the most annoying thing in the game, but luckily few bosses uses them.

Ah dammit! Why did I enable player 2 (mouse-controlled) when I am only ONE person?? You think one ship is challenging? Try two at the same time! ^^

Goodness....it takes a couple tries on the later levels to get used to the levels to perfect them.
Great game, decent music, overall enjoyable.

there should be a ship speed upgrade, since in many levels it's impossible for you ship to avoid getting hit because it can't outrun the bullets, and slow doesn't help either.

difficulty level is way too steep, goes from, "yeah this is super easy" to like "OMFG WHAT THE F@#$ IS HAPPENING" great concept, just lower that difficulty level...

I think it's way too hard and rythm doesn't really help in later levels due to the insane amount of bullets/lasers.
Good idea though, the gameplay is cool, neat game but hard.

This game WOULD have a future, IF you could disable player one (for those of you who haven't gotten there yet, "player two" is a second ship which is mouse controlled.) The bullet hell game genre is REALLY not meant to be played with arrow keys.

Slowmo is absolutely useless as your ship also moves slower, so you gain nothing. if i cannot escape bullets in normal mode, i cannot do so in slowmo either...

This game is absolutely amazing. I think the people who are complaining of difficulty just can't find the rhythm. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this game, and I think I'm going to show it to all of my friends. 5/5.

can you please add a count-down for it's really hard when i accidentally press "q" and fail miserably because i can't get my keys in place.

If the game concept is that you must survive and unbearable noise making alien. I'd say SUCCESS ! Otherwise if it was meant to be a pleasant game, i'd say you have a bug on my computer.

I'm a huge danmaku fan, I would give this a 3.7/5
The music was amazing.
But the game play it self got bland after a while. Perhaps you could have experimented with different bullet colours and patterns. The whole level up thing was a nice idea, and getting lives back on previous levels was interesting. I think this has been mentioned but you might want to take a look at the laser levels, as it could be difficult to dodge even with slow motion if you can't even tell which ones are active and which ones are just clusternuggets together.
All in all this was a nice game that was a refreshing break from all of the lunatic touhou I play.
P.s. you need a gallery for all the music, say you unlock the levels song after beating said level, so you can listen to them at will.

Seemed to easy until I reached level 7 where the difficulty shot from "Barely there" to "What the hell! How am I supposed to do all this!" It would be a lot more doable if the targets weren't so damn small and the bullets were a little more predictable. Doesn't help that the controls lagged regularly for me.

This drives me mad: I CANNOT READ YOUR STUPID INSTRUCTION TEXT WHILE I’M SHOT AT, DAMMIT! Can you *please* show the text *before* starting the level???

Oh my goodness, this is truly amazing. I have never seen such a unique blend of music and bullet hell, and you have pulled it off flawlessly. Spectacular work, my friend.

However you created the level selection system, it is truly a work of programming art. I love it. Great game concept and challenging.

would of liked to be able to aim with mouse... these games feel way to restricted when you have to fire in a straight line... with out stopping... staying on target the whole time... with the enemy shooting right at you. its do-able but it, as jeremy clarkson once said, "is like asking a man to wire a plug, while juggling Penguins, While making love to a beautiful woman, while on fire, on stage, in front of the Queen. It's all going to go wrong."

I enjoy a hard game but this is almost impossible especially when your ship is slow and you literally have to make pin point turns to dodge bullets, i quit when i got to the side by side one
