you could possibly make a .txt folder kind of save that's encoded in base64, but other than the lack of save it's pretty nice. 3/5 stars

An idle game with no save functionality? Shows a nice display to begin with then the actual game consists of upgrading squares to sell stuff at each step to buy more upgrade. Those upgrade sections take up the majority of the screen in which you have pan between sections when you unlock something else. It has potential but released way to early. No point in playing if there is no save function.

game is sh!t, no save, thumbnail image is a lie, developer is one of those asset flippers who go ballistic when you tell them their game is bad, but f*ck them, i dont care, YOUR GAME IS BAD

An easy way to implement a save feature is to just have an export function that spits out some text, and then taking the text in the same format and parsing the data. You could do some encoding and decoding to prevent people from editing it easily. (ex. snowflakes, etc => SNOWFLAKES,OTHER1,OTHER2)

NICE CONCEPT, AND A GREAT ONE FOR A MINIMALIST GAME. JUST 2 PROBLEMS THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED: 1. LIKE COUNTLESS OTHERS HAVE ALREADY STATED, THERE'S NO WAY TO SAVE YOUR PROGRESS. 2. I DONNO WHAT IT'S LIKE FOR YOU, BUT IT GETS PRETTY LAGGY IN HIGHER LEVELS.

I am waiting till this game gets an update before I rate it, needs a save system at the very least to be considered playable
Hi JesseJ35, thanks for playing Idle Snowflake. Unfortuately there is no save function as this would require sending your precious data to non-kongregate servers.
Best, runvsgamedev :)

this game has all the features of a really shitty game. 1) advertised as having fancy graphics => just extremely poorly text based windows in the game 2) clunky and barely useful interface 3) basically no game play. 1/5
Hi Aleaesaest, thanks for playing Idle Snowflake! Well, you can realise very quickly, the nice animation is in the main menu, so you realize very quickly, how the game works. (this is a good thing for me). Unfortunately there is no save function, because that would require sending your precious data to another server.
Best, runvsgamedev :)
Hi TerryL44, unfortunately there is no save function, so your progress is lost when you close the tab/window. Thank you for playing Idle Snowflake!

The whole scroll sideways thing is really annoying. Scrolling down is more normal for these kinds of games. Also, the boxes are way too big for the machines. If you scaled them down there wouldn't be as much need to scroll.
Hi darkoraclegirl. Thx for playind Idle Snowflake, that means a lot to me! :)
Could you explain, why scrolling up/down is better than left right? If I would scale the machines, the text would not fit or be super small.
Best, runvsgamedev!

You might want to adjust the UI since it goes off the right side of the screen and I can't even scroll to see what's been cut off.

No indication that new pieces are available. Also, the text on the transporters ends up going off the bottom once you reach double digit levels
Hi Olug, thank you for playing Idle Snowflake and for the great feedback. In the latest version there is now a notice showing that new buildings are available. And additionally there are some more buildings! I wish you a happy new year!

Fun little game. The UI could really use some work so we can see more on the same page. Really shouldn't have to scroll right and left and if you have to keep that we should at least be able to use a scroll bar.

at Planet Freezer your money goes negative when selling, selling at previous levels will increase profits again, so there is an issue at Planet Freezer.
Good effort :-) Happy holidays
Hi omerta74, thank you for playing and for the feedback! A new version of Idle Snowflake has been uploaded which fixes this specific bug. Additionally, some more buildings have been introduced. Happy Holidays and a happy new year!

This was actually really fun, maybe some fancier graphics and perhaps different kind of upgrades, like speed, quality etc?
Hi sirspikey, thanks for playing and the nice comment! The basic concept was created during one hour, so there was no big time for things like upgrades, but hey, the lower half of the screen is still quite empty so maybe there will be an update ;)
Best regards and happy holidays!
