You should add a statistics page for amount of people dead at what happiness level. Even something added onto that like their geographical position and population density. It's probably an accurate depiction of urban decay through population density in a marginal environment.

These guys really love their work... just seeing em race to the first pile of shit that piles up so they can collect it makes me tired...

I really like the sandboxiness of this game. It's interesting & kinda unusual - and wow, to have put this together in eight days! I'm pretty impressed. The big hitch for me is the increased distance from the town centre. If they're going to build outward, could they build drop-off points too? Or possibly they could build up instead of building out. There are so many directions you could go with this and I'll definitely be checking back to see what you do :)

I don't know why this is such an addicting concept but I have over 200 souls and I still want to keep going. I'm excited to see what the updated version has to add!!

Hopefully we get a hotkey to spawn people where our cursor is. Plunking down 100 people in a row is tiresome on the wrist.

I wonder if I'm the only person who thinks that The Farm isn't just something annoying but actually the subject of the players planning? Basically if we agree that the goal (for now) is to get the highest "high level" score (which is not a given, but what else *is* there?), then the farm is both your emeny (it takes up land, make the rounds longer) and your friend (spawns more resources), so you should plan how big you want it, and at the smae time plan to have the most souls by then so your "Magnum Citizenus" would achieve the highest level. Which at the moment is 8 (It's kinda low, but I figure it's a good start)

Have you thought about making an overhead, two-dimensional version instead of the current sideview, one-dimensional version? Not only is that more realistic, but it'll also greatly cut down the "must travel two hundred feet to reach the closest resource spawning point" problem.

Speed: 97, Life: 11, Sight:100, Land:100.
Game has a great idea here but i agree with a lot of posts about the "farm" building UP and not OUT as much.

long life isn't actually a waste- it makes allows your (one, if you re smart) human to get a very high level. though I agree it should be upgraded last.

There's only one flaw to the people part, you can "buy" all the land you want but they just stay in the center and hardly level up, the highest they have gone for me is 10 but lately all they reach is 8. I have 99 points into land and they always just go back to the center and dont go outside of it. I dont know if anyone else said anything about that or if you already are fixing it but other than that and the 10 day waiting period to update its really addictive :) good job

Only one issue with the game... your people/souls need to keep moving further and further out... the buildings and whatnot shouldn't deter people from finding things in those areas... it makes the game much more difficult when the souls need to move out a huge ways away just to pick up dirt/stone whatever.

Stats are currently 40 Speed, 30 Life (waste), 60 Sight and 110 Land (Also a waste). For some reason, after 30 or so land spaces, the resources keep spawning. Many times per second. Randomly. Each person only has to go the first resource and walk back - before the next arrives, the resource will respawn, it's instantaneous. Having more than 50 Land or so is a waste. Sight and Speed is all that's really needed, it needs some serious balancing or something.

We've solved the conflict with the GiTD contest to enable the developer to continue improving the game without having to worry about being disqualified. Hopefully Siveran will start updating the game soon.

needs a fast forward button... they live to long and I hate waiting... maybe add a "smite these hoes" power to just kill them all at once when we get bored.

on the part where there are the green souls on top it shows how many but what is the bottom blank bar for? is it part of a future update or a concept you were going to add but didnt have time for?

I like it. People who have never worked the land or long periods of heavy labor cannot comprehend the satisfaction that is derived from this kind of work, at the end of the day you are tired but feel this subtle internal happiness akin to warm glowing embers.

One way to alleviate the issue of the town taking up too much space would be to convert the game world to 2D, rather than 1D. Could make the whole thing a fraction more interesting as well.
