Great game, but as others have said...the fun wears out quickly. I stopped playing after I reached zone 3, and I only went that far for the badge. :( It just couldn't hold my attention, no matter how badly I wanted it to. Something for a future game: maybe in between zones have silly cutscenes or something, like King Drawed (Edward) ordering his to catch you instead of Borin Hood. I really don't know what would help. Upgrades is too simple an answer when the game is supposed to teach how to win without.

A suggestion for a feature to help those who can't keep track of their double jumps: after you used up a double jump and it gets low, like 1 or 2; the game should give a non-obtrusive visual (or audio?) cue to signal that. It needs to be experimented with to be sure it won't get in the way.
In other news, I like this game very much, and I tend to return to it to play the same way one does for snake: when you're bored and just want some quick fun. People sometimes willingly choose repetative gameplay, see driving games and arcades. People here are addicted to upgrades and badges and games that track meaningless "progress".

I keep on losing the claymore and axe, even when I've unlocked each multiple times. Please fix this as soon as possible.

Oh also, would love to click on a button in options to have the double jump on a different location, since I use my attempts my mistake when I want to jump when I reach the ground, or when I want to jump higher using a trampoline.

The updates you recently added to this game actually made it pretty fun. Prior to the updates, the game simply wasn't very enjoyable. Nice work.

There needs to be checkpoints every three levels or so so we dont have to start completely over. It gets frustrating finally fgetting to lvl four then dodging a spearman by jumping upo a platform only to be killed by a captian and relise that you have no more continues. and agian, There shouyld be a parkour-only mode. I love this game! It has awsome stunts.

for some reason this game lags alot, on high on low setting it doesnt matter it will be the same, is the game capped at 30fps? if it is wouldnt it be good to make the max around 60? the game itself is great, just the lag makes the experience for me a little bit less, dont know if more people are experiencing this problem?

A sugestion to the developer for keeping track of items: you can add visual effects to the character to denote at least one of that item is in your inventory: for daggers a dagger in your belt or your hand, for wings a halo on your head or a wisp following you, for armor its allready done, for parachute a backpack or a cape.

It's amazing! Got all the achievements, but--cant--stop!
Well i say not getting to zone 4 without dieing is LAME, but if you beat 6 wow!
The only thing annoying is being trapped in a wall and being smashed by the invisible-left-end-wall. In zone 5 there is a hook, that cannot be escaped, once you are inside it. killed me like 10 times now.
I really like the speed at which the player acquires skill! In the beginning the champion always owned me, now i dont even care about black champions anymore lols.
I think you were talking about a "Rogue Soul 2"? Awesome :D
Many thanks for the review ! Where exactly is the hook you're talking about in the zone 5 ? If it is after the big pit, with a hole between two walls, then you just have to press down to drop from the platform and make a slide to pass the wall. Hope it helps. We are actually thinking about Rogue Soul 2, with bunch of new stuff to please everyone :)

I only ever find myself using the double jumps. The other collectables just never get used except where the parachutes are needed. I forget about them.
Parachutes and Daggers are optional indeed ! But if you learn well how to use them, you can catch some impossible treasures or enemies, so it means more Combo and more Rewards.

It took me forever to get hit by an arrow while parachuting (the holed parachute achievement) but then i realized i had armour so it didn't count. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Part 3:
Lastly... I get the auto-scroll, but it is very annoying esp as there is a bit of "grace period" off screen. I'd like to see it more where the character does auto run, and you have a guard (or someone else) chasing after them (you have to avoid getting "tagged"). That way, you can leave the screen scrolling up to the player somewhat (esp when you have to parachute over a large gap and you're hugging the opposite side) while still keeping the same feel of running and urgency. Then you could also keep the grace period as the player may have a second for the chaser to 'tag' you to get out of the situation.
Sorry :s Our games are sometimes laggy on certain computers, due to the huge amount of graphics displayed at the same time. Did you try on low quality ?

Part 2:
Also, the power-ups... I think the problem with them is that they sit in the upper-left corner of the screen, while our eyes are usually focused on the right & lower-right sides. Several deaths I had were either not realizing I was out of double-jumps (or something similar) or trying to check if I had any double-jumps (daggers, etc) available and running smack into a wall because I looked away. I'd definitely put the power up slots on the right side either top or "below ground" on the bottom so players have less seconds checking them (and/or split so less important power ups - armor/daggers imo - are on the left and the important ones - double jump/parachute - on the right).

Part 1
Ok, finally got it working and tried more of it out. Eh... it's not bad. (Heck, I wouldn't mind seeing this rip off assassin's creed more with sequels taking place throughout time periods.) Probably the biggest thing is that it's inconsistent. Like why can I bounce on a sign or stand on top of a tiny wall but window ledges bigger than both aren't platforms? Maybe a free run/practice option in the future where enemies (and/or the auto-scroll) are missing to allow players to get used to "reading" the game environment.
Hey ! There is no mercy for evil guards who kick little children. Plus, you have the crowd and the pretty Souly on your side, so ... I guess you do the right thing ;)

reminds me too much of assasins creed. you know? the jumping in the hay bail and the sound of the eagle at the end of a zone part? 5/5 and favorited

Actually it reminds me of Canabalt, and Tower of Greed more than anything else; I love the fact that it doesn't have upgrades. I keep getting 'oh!' moments, which I wouldn't have without upgrades, and I love it. Things like the fact that you can slide just about every enemy and get away with it, like how you can stay off the ground by parachuting everywhere, pulling off combos. And it's addictive.

There's a glitch on Dagger's Master: if you miss the current enemy, but the dagger you just whiffed with goes on to blindly hit an enemy in the next column, you do not lose one of your three lives.

The new updates make this game way too easy! What happened to "a game of challenge"? I agree to the 2 double jumps in the beginning to reach those annoying flowers, but the rest just loses the fun in the game.

I think this is a great game. A few suggestion for your consideration:
1. 2 actions button instead of 3. I have to keep on thinking which button to press in those "action moments".
2. To implement 1, is it possible if holding the up button while jumping be actually using parachute? Another possibility is pressing down as slide, and down down as jumping down from a platform.
3. I think if there is an upgrade system on the thief gear, maybe the power and length of attack range, maybe his health (# of hit he can take), jumping height, these kind of rewards will make ppl stick. Coz even a game is over, we feel we have made progress by having a better thief in the next round of game.

I find this game very addictive, but at the same time it gets really boring when you start over all the time.. I know that you have added visual upgrades, but it would be much better, at least for me, if the game had a "Shop" or "Upgrades" section where we could buy and upgrade stuff with the money we get from the runs, thanks!
The current game has not be made for an upgrades system... I understand you don't like it, but I can't change it at this time. However, I plan lot of stuff for the sequel :)
