Only the best TD game I've ever played. This should be the model for future TD games. I liked the idea of being able to build a castle, but eventually actually just made stand alone 2x2 towers with an open path to my garrison, that they never made it to. It also prevented the enemy from posting just out of range and shooting at my castle wall.
I'd like to see a longer storied mode, where the first battle was at the border and the last battle was defending your capital. The strength of the final army against you influenced by how well, or how poorly you defending the outlying keeps.
As for balance, yeah, units do become over powered soon. Necessary for the marathon round, but these unit bonuses could be adjusted to provide multiple difficulty levels.
Other than that, the development of some different defensive artillery and siege equipment.
And finally a random map generator for endless, every changing fun.

Really like the game but there needs to be many changes:
- Fast forward button that doesn't need you to hold it down (maybe even faster than it currently as well)
- Counter on achievements to show you progress or how far you got
- Increased difficulty (once you reach the higher grade infantry the enemy doesn't stand a chance)
- Cannons need variation in terms of damage or firing rate (maybe even a hold fire button so that you can wait for more enemy troops)
- Units glitch and stop firing after there's too many shots on screen
- Maybe a button to "upgrade all" so you don't have to click each individual unit/building when upgrading (as an option and it will do as much as it can with your money)
- Maybe have bastions rotatable on more angles so they aren't always 90 degrees to the wave
- Throw in some random situations ex. sabotage and your troops fire half as fast due to poison

It could have been a nice idea. However the complete lack of balance ruins it.
All the cannons are equal, but the last one that is crazy good. Moreover you can unlock the last one without unlocking the previous ones.
Cannons, even the last one, are however way worse then third level troops. The only strategy needed is a 3-slot thick wall full of Greenjacket around your base. You build it, and then you launch all the waves. Pretty lame.
Moreover, after wave 10 the game is pretty much ended, it doesn't get harder, it's just a matter of time. Hard levels are just longer then easy ones.
With a bit more thinking around it could get a good game.

ether the fast forward button isnt working, or its incredibly un-fast. ether way, it needs to be sped up considerably, and have a lock on.. no hold button BS please -.-

There's a few glitches with the french. One is when you unlock Earthworks, it doesn't show it unlocked unless you click a different tab and then go back to the buildings tab. The other glitch is that the bonuses from medals for the Francais Guarde don't seem to work. The cost per unit says 72 but it is costing me 95.

The balance is way off. The extended range from the British beats anything else. Puckle guns are the only cannons worth buying. Anything else is pretty much worthless.

One badge? You said badges on friday, and all we get is one badge on monday? how about..It's heading right towards us (hard) for survival?

Does it bother anyone else how poorly balanced this game is? I got Green Jackets with nothing else and won a hard map with 24000+ gold left over. On the other side of it, mines are so over-priced that they're useless!

Good game. I love the music. I just wished upgrades stayed and there was more variety in unlockables. Perhaps in the sequel add moats, medics, carpenters, masons, pots of burning oil to dump on enemies right infront of wall, war drums to boost troops while weaking enemies, troops on horses riding around the map killing anything, and commanders that would make surrounding troops upgrade over time.

@st_alfonso, arrogance is likely not the reason for not fixing bugs and not making changes. It is more likely that the dev falls into one or more of the following categories:
a) forgot about the project
b) lost interest in the project
c) too busy/lazy to fix/update the project
That said this is still a great game, and some bugs here and there don't change that.

- Cannons seem useless. Too slow and unpredictable. And I also don't see difference between cannons, Big Cannon is nearly the same as Culverin.
- Britain is overpovered. At the start unlock Redcoat, and set on palisades. Then upgrade them to Greenjakets. That's all, nobody can pass, and you also can set up emty line of wall if you don't like repair barricades and have auto-repair (very nice on Earthworks).
- Also I can't get achivements for fast completition level, bug?

during the endless battles, i died at 33 and my weapons and soldiers just wiggled around, also, to make endless more interesting, why not add a little panel on the side, so we can tweak things, like it gets boring after a while so why not let us change the enemies health? like every three rounds, the enemies hp increases by a certain percent, things like that, to make it more interesting, and at the same time, letting us control certain things.

What is the point with having all those price reducing achievements when not a single one of them actually works? They just display misleading prices making it harder to predict building costs.

A more original idea, not the same as a TD game. I liked the way that troops go on walls, and that there is different type of walls. However, the game progresses very slowly, and I found the tutorial very long.

More expansion on this idea and it could be 10x the game it currently is now. Entertaining to a degree, yes, but the lack of endless mode being available for every map kills it and also the cannons seem to be all the same besides the pucket gun.. which is more or less a machine gun anyway. Could make an updated version of this with WW1/WW2 themes as well.. so much more could be done ;)
Good game, i give it 4/5. If you make a better version with more content perhaps you'll get 5 :D

It realy needs a bugfix for the freeze game in which shots can be heard but no damage is done. Happened to me on lvl30 endless mode, the engeneers just broke down half my walls without taking damage from being shot at. Kind of ruins the endless game totaly. I would guess there's an end somewhere in endless mode, but its harsh to walk into a bug which ends it.

Awesome concept. Really, really bad execution. Sometimes an enemy will spontaneously get huge range, even able to outgun my cannons. Sometimes they'll get stuck on a caltrop. Sometimes my troops stand there shooting and missing. Not only does the speed thing need to be toggle, it also needs an option to be about 10x faster. I really just want to hit START and see the results, see what was damaged, etc.

One of my favorite games as of late. The only issue is the large number of totally random bugs that make units disappear or rounds never end. Really gets to you on the last round...

All of my achievements and saved games are gone!!! I beat the game with every country and now nothing. Still have the card still have the achievement but that is it!!! Game is awesome, some bugs, the endless mode is a great deal harder than the hardest on skirmish which does not seem to make sense. It would be nice to see how far you were away from obtaining an achievement. Still I like this game.

The speed run achievements seem to be rather broken. Even if I manage to have every unit dying the instant it appears on screen, hold fast forward the entire time, immediately launching new waves as soon as possible, the easiest map is still going to take something like 15 minutes, with a weirdly large portion of that being the time it seems to take the game to realize every unit is dead. Plus, even if it did work right, I don't really see the point of this one. Beyond the few seconds you can shave off by building as close to spawn points as possible, there really isn't any speeding to be done. It's basically an achievement awarded based on how fast your computer can render the game.
