It's not just a Greek myth, I've seen a Native American version as well. Granted, Coyote doesn't go to the underworld and have to pass Cerberus, but it's the same story: a man loses his wife and travels to the land of the dead to get her back, and after reaching the land of the dead, she is allowed to follow him out, but with the admonish that if he turns around before they get home, she will disappear again forever, and ultimately he is unable to resist the temptation.

Does anyone else think the ending might be different if you can manage to get all the way through without dying once?

This game seems to be based on greek mythology, a story of a man that has to go into the underworld to rescue his wifes spirit which would return her to life...sadly, in the story once he reaches the end of the caves after all his travels through the underworld, he looks back, and has to watch as her spirit is forever lost to the underworld.

That was great. What was the name of that myth again? Wasn't it Euridices or something?
A very fun game though, thank you.

So damn cool. If only the music was more often active (it would occasionally cut out when coming back from a pause). The use of sound was amazing in creating an atmosphere that the graphics lacked. In my opinion, it was an excellent decision. More games based on Greek myths!

For that they do not understand the end ... if you look behind she(it) morira this way that since(as,like) they were at the 2 elos they looked at " behind " and because of it the 2 disappeared

For those who need a spoiler-free explanation on the ending: he's staring at something at the end. What fades away is a memory. Actually, the game will have more meaning if you read up about Orpheus and Eurydice first...

I closed the Microsoft commercial that was on the game loading screen. It killed the game, stays at "Loading" (its not)

this reminds me of an ancient Greek story, about a man who went to Hades to bring his wife back, and made a deal with Hades that he wouldnt look back to make sure she was there or she would be lost forever. when he was almost out, he risked a glance back, and she was there for a second, then disapeared. so depressing. 5/5
