Coincidentally we had a discussion about this just a month ago on RDFRS.net. Pitching ideas for an educational game about evolution. This wouldn't meet the standards but it's certainly a good concept with a lot of room for improvement in both gameplay and educational value.

This game is actually educational. (After I read the instructions on creating sequences.) Good job there. Gameplay, well, there is a lot of work still to do to make this a game you actually get back to, including letting you read about the sequences you have found and hitting that creationist on his head with a sequence (it would not convert him, but it would confuse him for a change).

I feel that that was a pretty solid game - there's a clear point, the gameplay is challenging but not ridiculous, replay value in maximizing points. The visual and music styles fit each other and are appealing. Obviously, would like it longer, perhaps with levels that develop more sequences. You could make the player retry level til he passed a certain point threshold, even award bronze, silver, and gold stars for different scores. And you know how we love upgrades and achievements.
