Honestly, this is just too grindy to be worth the investment of time demanded relative to the depth of its gameplay and overall content. You'll see more or less everything there is to see within a few minutes, and you'll do everything there is to do soon after, but getting the badge is a long, repetitive business. Granted, I'm not the sort of person the game's aimed at; I'm too slow and clumsy to be any good at running, jumping, quick time events, and the like. But the thing is, it's not even a matter of this one being *difficult* - it's just so repetitive that it quickly becomes very dull to mess with, and there's a strong luck-based element to boot. What eventually turned me off completely was being launched from one of the aforementioned QTEs directly into an enemy, thus ending what seemed to me to be a pretty long slog of a run at only 6000 score. There's a point when you realize there's better things to do with your time, man.

For the badge: You are going to die again and again and again (59 deaths for me). It's not about skill, it's a grind for experience points (yellow orbs and kills). At level 8 you get twice as many trampolines, at level 9 your glide meter fills twice as fast, and at level 10 you get med-kits to heal. With those 3 upgrades 10k points is TOTALLY doable. Still a bit luck based, but nothing unreasonable with those upgrades.
Please upvote if this helped, so that new folks can get the badge without rage-quitting this game. And yeah, those hit-boxes are a but rough.

Go ahead and downvote this idk, but I'm having no problems and it just takes skill and practice to get the hang of it. I'm still killing it coming back to it.

can't attack monsters without spending glide, fall through solid platforms/don't get launched by springs/etc. Buggy and unfun. No shiny for me this week.

Ah, and I forgot but the number of time I was clearly above a platform, or ON an item, and I just went through it... like, collision is the basis of the game, why is it so fickle?

Glide replenish way too slowly to be really interesting. Supposedly you can use the up key to attack but: it consume your glide, which make it useless.
The down key to attack is not bad, but it makes you dive, so it also doesn't work for all situation.
The game would be much better if I could use points to unlock things as I need them, and increase either their efficiency or spawn rate

Buggy mess. I keep triggering elements without getting their effects. If the trampolin animation and its sound are playing I should get pushed up, not have nothing happen.
Shitty BotD.

I thought this badge would be far more difficult than it turned out to be, for I got it at the 8th level, having played for an hour at most. I shall repeat the advice of two previous commenters: glide is expendable and holding the up key after jumping lets you attack everything. Luck wasn't a large factor, but lack of lag was.

If you're aiming for the achievement, kill as many bees as possible. Glide is expendable. Hold up when you're near a swarm of bees since that triggers your attacks. Don't worry about wasting glides since you probably have tried this game for a few minutes before unlocking the lifesaver unlockable and falling down to the flood is not a problem anymore.

The badge is possible within a few hours. I got mine at lvl 21 and 51 runs.
The game does become easier as you get tankier as the game goes on since you will gain fire resistance and armour.
At start of any run: just go for coins as that's your xp for your lvl and combo + the combo degrades pretty easily.
while you're on fire: x2 (separate to coin multiplier). Basically doubles your coin multiplier. Either you're nearly at the 10,000 points or already have fire resistance, intentionally run into fires when you have a decent coin multiplier going.
Decent Game. 3/5. Requires a bit of timeto get used to the jump speed/height and quick time events.
For it to be 5/5 i think it would need these:
Menu to make the game a lil bit easier but give a slight xp penalty. e.g. coins appear more frequently, auto-do quick events. That way people wouldn't mind replaying till they get certain levels.

It hurts to play more than a couple of times in a row, but unlike the lower-numbered instances of flood runner, this game/badge is actually possible without perfect reflexes / perfect luck - because of the upgrades. Key combos (quick time events) become possible after getting the slower key combos upgrade around level (?)12, and there are also upgrades to get health packs and more health a few levels later. I got the badge at level 18. Just tap very quickly and frequently (the glide can be used to low jump on air) and only hold when running into an enemy.

the combo multipliers do jackshit in this wack game? i had 2410 points 9 multiplier and get 2410 points i don't see even the point couner go faster with multiplier..this all bullshit.

Awful grind, badge should be hard. I well and truly hate this game now and also hate the people who put these stupid grindfests on BotD. @vvexxd : the arrow keys don't work all the time.If I had casually played this I might give more stars but because it's a grind or luck to get the badge it's a glowing 1 star.

I don't understand all the criticism that this game gets. If they just played the game and read the tips, that are on loading screens, then they would easily get the badge. And alot of people say that the enemies are unavoidable, even though one of the games tips says that you can hold any arrow key to kill enemies. Have you noticed the glide bar on the top left corner under the health bar? Because the people that say that glide doesn't work clearly haven't. I got 22079 points on my third run. The badge is not that hard. Just try harder and read the tips.
Overall i give this game 3.5/5, so a 7/10, because it's got some annoying problems, but it's fun.

Constantly crashes. No actual way to keep playing if it restarts my leveling back to 1. No way to earn BOTD. Beyond that, it's not fun to continuously fall, hoping for good RNG. I understand that you think the upgrades help, but you can't upgrade what is broken on a fundamental level. Maybe the distance can be counted on as an overall distance, rather than a single perfect RNG run. Maybe players won't hate you then.

It's official. I HATE this game. When designing a game there are certain elements you want to make sure you avoid - this game hits them all. Reduce the amount of skill - check. Make sure the game can end at a moment's notice with no possibility of avoidance - check. The character's movements are inconsistent - check. The physics are wrong (I'm on some platforms and don't get credit, I'm not on others and I'm magically standing on them) - check.

... and unavoidable damage and a health mechanics with no ability to gain natural healing ... and a score requirement that makes the aforementioned health mechanic frustrating ... and the list goes on and on and on. Negative stars / 5

Lets combine fast running where you can't see the obstacles a second ahead of you ... with instant death quicktime events ... and upgrades you have to grind for. Also no instant replay ability you have to click play every single time with your mouse which otherwise isn't used in gameplay.
