I really want to like this game, but it's like watching paint dry... and the painter's too stupid not to paint his colleagues... and then it all explodes... KABOOM!.... and no, clicking Air Superiority every 60 seconds is not an acceptable countermeasure to that.
Unless this game gets a major overhaul, it's just a failure.

my biggest problem is how like its slow as shit, guys are annihilating the enemy with almost no resistance, then like a battalion of flame throwers and rocket launchers come out of nowhere and just completely demolish my troops. The game is way slow...

To bfootballm63:
The point of this game is to survive as long as possible. You can change area by moving your entire squad to the very top of the screen. The battlefield changes and you get another tactical point, but doesn't do much else as far as I can tell. Your best bet is to go up a couple screens at the beginning to help build up points and a strong squad, then dig in and hope for the best. The difficulty curve is high so eventually you will die. So far my high score is around 1200.

needs to have better explanations. i understand tactical points and how to use them, but how exactly are they gained? and how does the commander get promoted? 4/5 tho

For those of you confused, you aquire tactical points with the start of each wave. You get 2 for the first 5 or 10 waves, I can't remember, and then one for each wave after. You can also get another tactical point by sending all your troops to the very top of the screen and moving on to the next section.
The game is very random, hard, and confusing initially, but I do like the it and have already spent somewhere around 3 or 4 hours playing it.

It's pretty good, but it would be better if 1. People could actually fire from bunkers 2. When someone walks past 2 or 3 bunkers, with people in each, they should die 3. Abbility to put machine guns in bunkers 4. Maybe for each person you kill, you get a tactical point 5. tanks and jeeps actually fire
That's all I got but other than that, it's a pretty good game

I LOVE this game! Although the randomness of enemies is sometimes annoying...got hit by arty strike at the 3rd enemy wave o_o

I like the game but how do you get tactical points, do they just come randomly or is there something I could do to get them?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Bombs ruin the game, Air superiority does nothing half the time and the bunker doesn't seem to help at all. 1/5 for being rediculously addicting but removing any skill from the player in favor of random luck.

I also strongly dislike them continuing to empty there clips on an already dead body. Sometimes they'll just randomly shoot a already dead body even though there are live enemies on the screen.
-----------------------------------
They arn't dead bodies, they're disabled men.

great game. but sometimes i do things and i dont know if they have worked or not. i think there should be more notes at the bottom or something. bc everything happens at the top and i miss stuff!!! also i dont understand how the tactical points work. sometimes i only get one. and then sometime i get 4 out of no where?
but great game 4/5

gets hard like when 4 bombs hit you at once all my men died :D then i had to regroup and then a tank cam in and took the rest out crap

First of all, its pretty slow and the barbed wire needs to be stronger. there should be a multi-player option and an option to exit a game. gets kind of boreing, so 3/5.

i personally liked the gritty, rugged graphics of the original mud and blood. could you revamp those and remake the game?

A different game that has the potential to be great yet is lacking quality. Needs alot of work dealing with various bugs/glitches/commands. Example: Decreased fire while in bunker. Three new soldiers are better compared to a new jeep.
The point system is what puts the game on the fence. The restrains from being able to put 10 snipers out one minute after the game starts makes the game challenging and fun. But spending your points and having them wasted ruins the enjoyment.
Overall this game is fun and unique. But without future updates and fixes, its not a game I'd consider constantly playing or coming back to occasionally.

kind of fun. until you spend 9 tactical points on a guy and he walks into a missile 1 second after coming onto the field. keep working on it. 3/5

Some problems.
When you mouseover a guy the status box should be centered on the screen. If you mouseover a guy on the right the status box goes off the screen and you can't read it.
The AI seems a bit skewed. The german guys will enter the screen and immediately throw a grenade. If your guys aren't near the top or the bottom they are screwed. The enemy will throw it before your guys will open fire.
Also, your guys have a horrible habit of throwing a grenade at each other if there is a enemy there. It's fun to watch but annoying if you try to get into it.

wow...i thought a jeep would be good..boy was i wrong..the frickin thing barely shoots and its range is like non existent

I liked the game at first. It was a cool idea and at first I thought it was executed well.
Until I learned my soldiers can't shoot for beans.
German soldiers walked right past my troops without taking a single shot, and that's just from soldiers that were actually shooting at them! my other soldiers were focusing on targets that were much further from my border. Anyone with half an arm could shoot someone at the range these people were missing.
Instead of having them lock on automatically and not allowing manual targeting, try ALLOWING MANUAL TARGETING! So that a player (who has far more intelligence than this piss-poor AI) can get his blind soldiers to at least TRY to fire on the right enemy soldier.

i was doing so good, but then a random plane which my radars didnt detect dropped a huge bomb that said have a nice day on it, and ablew up my jeep which had full 500 hp and had 70 xp=(
