Good wee game but was slightly disappointed with the ending, was expecting a bit more from it to be honest than a simple "I win" sort of message (trying to avoid spoilers)

Each ship has a certain amount of sails/crew that can be taken out with the sail or crew attack. You can see this in the amount of damage their sails have, and how many crew members you can see. These attacks reduce their AP. The crew attack also increase the chance of a successful boarding (I assume that is based on how much crew you have compared to them). If you get the enemy AP under 15 for each ship you win. Also, Under 30 and they can only fire once, under 20 no special attacks etc. just like your ships.

I love, lemme repeat LOVE Pirates and Traders. And when I saw this game, I was iffy. after playing, I was back in my pirate era. Thank you! Oh by the way, the music is from Sacred Seasons 2. Just a suggestion. After game, peraps have a mode like in P&T, whre you pretty muh go around sacking towns and what not

General rule for people who love to board enemy ships: You can't board The Flying Dutchman's ship. In fact, you can't even bring down its AP, which affects your chances of boarding.

BS. In Port-Au-Prince, I got annihilated, and they had twice my health, did massive damage, had a huge amount of AP in comparison and got to attack first.

I had so much trouble getting through the first few stages until I realised I could have more than one ship. I couldn't get through the other towns until I realised you could upgrade the ships. I just couldn't get through the boss until I realised there were upgrades you could get from stars... maybe all this information should be a bit more obvious?

To beat the boss the last ship is needed but you dont really need every upgrade on it... Spam dynamite + hull with your 3 ships to win

For some reason I can only get off one round of shots. I end my turn, the enemy fires, and when it's my turn again I can't do anything but retreat or end my turn again.

Dragging the ships menu is awful and works about 1 in 5 tries in Chrome and after closing my browser my save game is gone making my hour of play worthless and I will not be putting more time.

For a game without pay for content there sure is a lot of grinding. The basic concept is good, the graphics are good the interface is very nice but it just doesn't work for me. It lacks the depth necessary for a game of this length. I feel no real desire to upgrade my ships it's just something that happens. Good enough for 4* though.

Protip: before a battle, spend all your money on cargo. You keep the cargo if you die, so you can sell it and get your money back. Now, do people a favor and click that plus button, right over there.

Something I missed until the very last battle, when you're at a port, every port, there's a star sheriff badge, gives passive upgrades, can't be the last boss without them, also for anyone else that liked going around passively disarming them by aiming at their sails ... Duchy doesn't have any sails :/

secrets: Crew and Sails affect AP, while hull effects health, so aiming after the crew and sails (depending on your opponents ship) will reduce their AP, while going after hull does more damage. Also, Flying Dutchman? Way OP, took me three tries with full upgrades including bonuses on the best battle ship in the game. (Including Dynamite)

It'd be nice to see what cargo I have at the world map. Also, the hull/sail/crew attacks aren't very well explained, though I guess Hull deal more Hit Damage, Sail affects their AP more, and Crew increases the chance of success of a board (which will increase the gold or cargo you get at the end of a fight; I'd love it if I could convert ships this way).

It would be nice if the damage score appeared above the targeting rings so you could aim your next shot without having to wait for the damage score to disappear. It would also be nice to know what's required to earn stars. Great game though, I look forward to a sequel/expanded version :)

Why can't I shoot or buy ammo? If I can't shoot that must mean I'm out of ammo but there's no way to buy ammo so your game sucks.

I needed 568 days needed to kill dutch man...coulda have g2 earlier faster, but forgot to update ma ships lol....yeah get all upgrades and the top right ship is the best! get 3 of those and easy win.... last one will stand... duno forget to use the 3x damage canons (dimonite)

when cargo points up, the ship price are cheaper, it went down to like 7080 when i maxed, but when i get new points on AP, the price is back to 8000!!!! come on, don't be stupid, give me back my cheap price bonus!!! when my ship is somehow dmg, the ap does not regain after end turn, if i don't repair, i will always lose from the beginning of the battle

Really love this game! I especially like how the game has trading mechanics, there's a little trick to getting extremely rich quite fast ;) I ended up earning 90 million gold when the game was over haha.

You really need to fix the instructions on this game. I have three ships. All with more than half health left, two of them are unable to shoot anything, and I'm just LOSING fights. Even though none of my ships are destroyed.
What is going on?

Every single time I fight the level one marauder ship, near my original port-of-call, it locks into a defeat loop. EVERY. FRAKKING. TIME. I cannot fight or gain any WP, making this game unenjoyable and a waste of time.

I noticed the same thing, but then I realized that it's because the ship I have selected doesn't have enough AP to attack, but my other ships do. You have to click the ship with at least 15 AP in order to return fire.
The bug is just that the game doesn't auto-advance you to a ship that has enough AP to attack, but you can get around it.

ok just figured it out. You have to click on one of your other ships to use it after the game gets stuck in battle or the auto feature stops or whatever the developer designed in there.
