It has been over a year since I beat this game, but it was such a challenge then that I had to come back to it. Thanks to the creator for making a challenging yet beatable and rewarding game.

Headline News: this just in- man caught on camera appearing through a random door in the middle of the forest. bystanders watched as he snatched coins from midair, jumped on a feeble pink slug, and started jumping from tree to tree. later, he crushed an innocent green bird in its nest, jumped down, and exited through another random door. the public is warned to watch out for this lunatic, now on the FBI's most wanted- he wears a suit and top hat, is fairly chubby, and goes by the name "Moneyseize". In a related story, the world's tallest tower has just grown several feet since it was last seen.

To get the bird on level one, you have to jump on the ledge to the left of the spawn. Then you have to Slide jump left of the screen, then double jump, then use the wall to jump up to the bird.

I came back with a vengence and drove my way until after 2 hours finished lvl 29, I'm thinking "Whew... just one more lvl till I get the hard badge" *Opens lvl 30 door* "ARE YOU SHITTING ME????"

The shift button on my laptop keyboard is directly above my tiny up arrow key. Do you have any idea how many times I've killed myself trying to leave a level? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA?

This is probably one of the most difficult platformers i have ever played.
I got the hard badge after 3 hours and im not even gonna think about the impossible badge...

A useful tip when getting coins, don't try to get all the coins in one go, often times you can never do this. Get the Open coins first, then go for the monsters/birds, and then go for the treasure box and secret ones. Hope this helps, good game, very anger-provocative

It's so cool seeing the creator go from making flash games to making games like Celeste (which I love). You can see the inspiration already

I started this game July 16th, 2009. Finally beat it this morning. This game has stolen 6 and a half years of my life, and now I don't know what to do with whats left of it. 5/5

you know what this game needs? an option to enable/disable double jumps. it's very annoying when there's a green bird and you double jump accidentally.

The guy who made this beat super meatboy in 1 life, collecting every bandaid and getting record times, and decided it was to easy so he made this. the 6000 people with the impossible badge are 5998 robots, chuck norris and him

Im annoyed. I cant get the stupid lvl 1 bird -_- i feel judgement raining down on me from my cat. he's looking at me like "how do you miss that you futile human!" shut up cat!

Success has been achieved. After about twelve hours of gameplay across two afternoons, and the help of a guide to find some secret rooms, all coins have been collected. I've known this game since 2009 and could never find the patience and skill to beat it. Now I am 24 years old and my cognitive skills have developed enough to allow me to master this game. Extreme victory!

@askolan - Each time you leave the ground you get one double jump. If you wall jump first, you can double jump after leaving the wall (no matter how many wall jump you perform, that double jump will still be available). If you double jump before wall jumping, the wall doesn't refresh it. The game isn't unresponsive, you're just not comprehending the jump mechanism.
