VP of Platform

The Vice President of Platform leads the Platform department, overseeing the design and development of all Kongregate owned and branded products like kongregate.com, the Kongregate mobile panel, and future Platform products. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and works closely with the Kongregate executive team.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Lead cross-discipline, multi-product Platform department creating products to help independent game developers succeed

Publishing Product Manager

As a Product Manager on the Publishing team, you will work on several mobile free-to-play titles. You will work with other Publishing team members to help several different game teams develop and improve their products. You will monitor the health of your games, stay aware of the performance of our portfolio of games, and identify KPIs that can be improved. You will conduct market research on competitor games and apply your understanding of the marketplace and its direction to the development of our games. You will make the case for why we should focus on a given metric and how a given approach is the best use of a team's time. You will measure the performance of features and events that teams put in their games, write up analysis and reports, and make recommendations about what should be done next. You will also drive forward data science initiatives across the company, making the case for why we should devote resources to building analytical capacity in a given space in terms of what that capacity would allow us to do and understand. You will work with almost every member of the Publishing team, helping them measure and improve their impact and helping to define key outcomes and performance metrics. Work on several free-to-play mobile games across a variety of genres and developer teams
Own responsibility for the performance and health of your games (improvement/decline of KPIs) and their performance against targets
Monitor the health of your games. The PM should know and flag when and why various KPIs and player behaviors change (e.g. revenue spike, retention drop, etc.) and have a perspective on what we should do about it
Conduct routine analysis on games that you work on and scope out larger-scale analysis for analysts to tackle

Software Engineer, Platform

Kongregate's Platform Engineering team is responsible for the development of our new PC platform, Kartridge. In addition to product development for Kartridge, this team also provides support for our web platform at Kongregate.com. As a Software Engineer at Kongregate, you will work with Ember, Electron, Ruby on Rails, MySQL, and Puppet. Our website is both a destination for end users and also serves as the backend API for other related products. Producer, Mobile Games

The Producer, Mobile Games manages the relationship with 3rd party developers to guide, design and improve multiple games focusing on the monetization, engagement, and retention of players. This result is achieved through strong partner relationships and deep data analysis to understand a game's performance, its viability as a business, and its ability to scale. You'll work with several departments at Kongregate as well as external partners to improve and grow the portfolio of games. This position requires independent decision making with regular supervisor oversight in the areas of developer communication and overall product direction and health.

Oversee the physical maintenance and organization of the office, including the selection and supervision of appropriate vendors for cleaning and repairs, as well as special projects that arise.
Maintain office records by designing and maintaining filing systems; ensure proper transfer, retention and disposal of files/records.
Support executives and other employees in the processing of reimbursements, including the submission of expense reports
Manage and order supplies; select appropriate vendors and ensure spending is within the budget guidelines of the organization
Coordinate and manage incoming and outgoing mail and shipping needs
Event planning for Kongregate functions and team building activities
Identify and implement ways to streamline the workflow process for current and future projects
Provide support for team projects and perform other administrative duties as needed

Assist with new hire on-boarding and set up
Project manage external IT company and ensure quality IT support for employees
Maintain documentation and files and update as needed
Basic and Preferred Qualifications (Education and/or Experience)
High School diploma or equivalent work experience required; at least two years of successful accredited college study preferred
At least 3 years of general administrative assistant experience required; office management experience preferred

Proficient written/verbal communication and presentation skills using spoken English
