I like this game! 4/5 for potential
If I might opine regarding the design: Logically, stacking everything tightly together in order to save space works, but it's less appealing to the eye. What you end up with is the feeling of being crowded, despite having masses of open space somewhere else.
Great game! Has a feel of Total War gameplay with the smoothness of watching Gods and Kings on youtube.
A few things: Royals are not the easiest to play, they're actually the hardest. Cav allows you to brute force most of the game, and they don't start with any.
The second mission is easily the hardest, with later missions being easier due to veteran status. Perhaps a couple extra gold early (since no vets yet) and more enemies later (to force spending saved by vet status) would provide that straight line of increasing difficulty.
Really enjoyed the game!
My one complaint is that once reaching the highest level job, you cannot quit to start a business. It seems like the business would carry you a lot further, but you need the job for the first half of the game
After unlocking all upgrades, I wanted to see how long it would take to lose my 10b fortune, if I accepted every single trade offered. After 2:41, I'd risen to 15b. At 4:42, I'd reached 20b. At 7:35, I'd reached 25b. The moral of the story: just accept every deal, since the bad deals don't lose you too much
Having a friend list and the ability to play against your friends (even for zero dollars) would be phenomenal. Also, on the upgrade section, I would love being able to see what the furthest upgrades look like so I know whether it's worth it in the long run
This game puts me on the same playing field as my chess playing friends. It's a whole new battlefield and I actually win more often than they do. It's a test of flexibility, not rehearsed tactics
basic strategy (if you're struggling). If you have 4 moves, then one color must be eliminated with each move. If you have 5 moves, then your first move won't eliminate a color
"Sniper-1, there's a large horde of bad guys rushing the building, you have clearance to fire."
"Negative, sir. There's a scientist within 100 yards. He may jump in front of the buillet"
To describe this game, imagine playing checkers. But it's not checkers, it's blitz chess with the timer set to 15 seconds. Great game! 5/5 from anyone who enjoys a challenge in a purely simple game
I will reshape the whole UI after i make the game more playable.
