It's hard to rate such a great game down, but apparently listen to ratings more than to comments. So until mute buttons are the standard, and blaring intros and menu screens are a thing of the past, I will keep it up, hoping to inspire people to not keep up with this. Remember thos annoying flash website intros? Yeah, they are still here all over kong...
As you found out already, the mute button is in there, but I'll definitely keep this in mind for any future release (I just implemented the auto-mute in my dev build, but Kong is being a bit shaky on what I'm allowed and not allowed to patch).
well, I take that back. I make that 2/5 because it didn't start muted. Great game otherwise, fun to play. Still it is ruined for me. Getting blasted everytime I start a game while listening to music is frustrating.
I like how you can really watch your jumping skill evolve if you give the game a bit of patience. Great watching this feedback, and a cool game effect.
more differentiated upgrade slots when filled would make deciding what to upgrade and what status the slots have much easier. Maybe color coded upgrade types and stages, as well as simple symbols would work well.
Not even mentioning "World of Goo" as inspiration? You didn't have fun playing it, weren't so impressed you made a rip-off? Just wow...looks the same, only less to do here.
great start, promising game. already almost feels like you achieved replay value for me, though I couldn't say why...it's just relaxing and challenging at the same time, thank you!
