I found out something interesting: Once you have upgraded a field to double-star, if you save and reload the game, you get more prestige points for that crop than you should. To be precise, you get double the expected amount plus the points for the single-star. So, for example, unlocking everything up to double-star-gras should give me 4151 points, instead I get 5281, which is 3053+2*1098+32. That even works with the extra points for unlocking a crop for the first time!
I'm updating my calculator to also include two-star-crops, so here's a fun fact from the simulation I've run: If you wanted to play all the way to two-star-corn without resetting once (and therefor no prestige bonus), without manual work and optimized purchases, it would take around 107.1 million years (a few thousand years less, actually, but whatever). Going for simple star-corn instead would only take a bit over 2779 years.
You get no explanation on how the game works (like, those power ups?) and only have seconds to read critical mission infos WHILE UNDER FIRE?? Thanks, but no thanks.
Already posted this in February: If you're stuck in the ceiling, move left and right while changing the quality setting repeatedly, you might eventually get free
I finally solved the riddle of the formula for the combination cost! It wasn't that hard after all. I'll poste the details over on the currently abandoned subreddit: www.reddit.com/r/idlesword/. Few are playing this game these days, so I'd like to invite you over as well, if you'd like to actually talk about Idle Sword.
And I was wrong about the high as well, damit! I thought it was 49 floors + the ground floor, but nope, 49 total is correct. Thanks for clearing it up!
@WilliamHu: That comment was a one-to-one copy of my comment. And I was mistaken about the max width indeed, sorry about that. I totally missed the expansion markings in that video.
For those who are curious or want to plan ahead: The maximum size of the hotel is 50 floors high and 35 tiles wide, if I counted right. I just started the game so I couldn't check myself, I am basing it on a youtube video. Please correct me if I'm mistaken.
@willky7: Check the Archer ;) When you try to put an item in the combinator, that can't be combined, it gets equipped on the Archer instead, for some odd reason.
