Ok I'm checking that out CarlR. I've added the sell buttons, you can now get rid of towers for 80% of the total (purchase + upgrades) you spend on it.

Ok, I think I've got the upgrading issue sorted. With the fire tower the damage *is* increasing, the textfield was (may still) be not displaying it all. I've credited both Warcraft 2 and 3, the sprites came from 2 and the tower / monster pics from 3. I also fixed the bug where the 'upgrade complete' would play if sound was off, and made it so monsters stop being animated when the game is paused.
Ok, I've refined the intermission between monsters, it's actually controllable on a per wave (each round is made of waves, each level of rounds) basis so please let me know if it's still releasing too many too quickly.
Saves are automatic when you reach a new level. So the upgrade thing, you like pay $x and then you get more money for killing stuff? If I've got that right that sounds doable.
It's still way too easy I think, need to increase the monster stats a little further. I'm not sure why the save didn't work, do you have storage space enabled for flash? By default it's on and ~100 kilobytes which is plenty for the 3 numbers I'm saving.
bmalkson - you may not have enough gold or the tower may still be upgrading? I'll check it out though, there may be a bug.
@ CarlR - yeah I made it too easy with the last change. Upping the ante a little bit now.
Draconous - you can click the timer area or press space to start a wave immediately.
Funky - I agree completely. TD in WC3 is a lot better than any web based TD.
Hllibsaf and bmalkson - will sort that out too.
