Thanks, that makes it slightly less worthless. Seeing the Easter egg is not worth damaging my eyesight any further, though, so I won’t replay the game.

That is, if they’re not immediately accessible the first time you get to them. The main problem with metroidvania games is actually a conundrum: Backtracking is a huge pain in the rear, but if you remove backtracking entirely it suddenly becomes painfully obvious that the game is totally linear and the ‘rewards’ or ‘upgrades’ you give the player so they can access new zones are just glorified keys. show less
