Opeth is pure consumer garbage. They replace the complex compositional structure of true thinking man’s metal with rock structures and simple 3-chord progressions and the melodic content of simple pop (populist) music, to give the listener a watered-down product that they can listen to and feel like they have listened to metal without having to ever challenge their minds with the rich and challenging content of true intellectual, thinking man’s music. Opeth are filth for plebian false metal fans, who bastardize the Hessian lifestyle and make a mockery of the thinking man’s music and Hessian lifestyle.
