@Cacheradon You're doing something wrong. Fix your deck.
Honestly though, this game has about the least amount of RNG I've ever seen in a card game. Hell, its got less rng than MtG, and that's saying alot, considering MtG is known as one of the most skill-based ccg's out there.
They'll probably figure out that the energy is a terrible idea, but tbh, I am still enjoying the game, despite the pay to play.
A big reason is the addition of quest, puzzles, and artifacts. These are a fun, they challenge your mind, and they don't use any energy. If you are ever waiting for energy to replenish, you can do these "side missions" in the meantime.
I also like the main game quest, or as I like to call them "psuedo-hints". Every so often the game gives a quest (different from the side quest) to create a specific element. Just knowing that the element exists helps solve the old issue of not having any idea what to do next. Completing them gives you a small amount of in-game currency as well. It doesn't solve the energy problem, but it's a nice gesture.
Eventually, you’ll run out of things to do and be hit by that paywall, which is a shame. There are some great ideas here, just fix the energy system. There are other ways to make money without restricting access to play.
Thanks for your feedback. You are saying right things =) We are not a Greedy Evil Corporation, we really want to make a good game, but we can't just throw the monetization away... We are preparing a big update now, I hope you'll enjoy it.
This game takes no skill. Just a finger, a spacebar, and lots of patience. Actually, I take that back, just a little patience. Only took about 15 minutes to beat. All in all, boring. 2/5
good game, has potential. A few things... love the cube menu. Perhap you could add actual buttons (arrows or directional-triangles would be nice) to the edges of the cube to control the rotation. The tutorial could use some work, I had absolutely no idea what any of the powerups or equip items do.
As for gameplay, its really hard to tell how close you are to the cubes. I'm not sure how you would fix this, but I would look to a game called RaceTheSun for inspiration. 3/5 for a fun little game.
PS. loved the flavor text in the achievements. very humorous
I don't think you need such a long description for a retextured mario, people are quite familiar with this type of game. Also, theres a bug where you cannot jump off of the tree stump in the first level.
I think the exam hall should be playable before you choose a starter deck. It would let people choose a faction that they like, instead of just hoping it works for their playstyle.
I hate this game..... actually not really, i just dislike it. If you're planning on making anymore "impossible"-type games, consider a smoother difficulty ramp, instead of just killing the player outright for the first five minutes.
