Only the glitchy Magic Rope and the unresponsive controls keep this from being a 5/5 game. Everything else - graphics, sound effects, animations, etc is top notch. Looking forward to a longer sequel.

A bit buggy with save/load, and there's got to be a huge memory leak somewhere as it slows to a crawl after just a couple of minutes which really harms gameplay. Otherwise it's an enjoyable and funny game, although short.

The game is let down by the very unresponsive controls, which become a very big deal when you need to spawn/move units fast to deal with the trickiest enemies.

There's a lot of potential here, but it's not quite there yet. 1) Not being able to skip or surrender battles is incredibly annoying. What's the point of making the player sit through 15 minutes of battle as the enemy takes down your fortresses? when you know from the start it's an un-winnable battle? 2) Fortresses are useless, since they can't move, unlike ships (specially if upgraded with the extra move slot). I can destroy 3 enemy fortresses in one battle with one Sloop, just getting closer, shooting, then getting out of range again. It makes no sense to build fortresses when, for the same money, I could buy 3 brigantines and make use of their mobility, plus being able to attack thrice as much per turn. 3) Critical hits are ridiculous. A sloop can destroy a galleon or a fortress in one random hit? Seriously? As it stands, this game looks pretty good, has good depth and sound effects, but the battle gameplay could use with some serious improvements.

Developers: when you make a mouse-controlled shooter like this, MAKE A RUN-OFF AREA AT THE EDGES OF THE SCREEN. Otherwise, if you are playing near an edge, you keep getting stuck because the mouse hovers outside of the game screen. It's not a hard concept to grasp, yet so, so few games get it right.

For everyone complaining about lag: it's a memory leak. Just restart the game every once in a while when it starts to get laggy and it'll be back to full speed again.

Very fun game and a great idea with a lot of potential. My biggest complain is that it's hard to accurately control the direction you "kick" the ball by clicking; perhaps actually hitting it with the mouse cursor would have been better? That way you could potentially control both direction and strength better. Make a 2.0 version with that, some challenges with a limited number of clicks or something and more levels and this could be among the top games of the month. 5/5

I seem to be getting a weird glitch... whenever I start a new game the game mutes itself. I have to manually go to the options and increase the sound again after the intro. Other than that, I feel this wasn't as scary as the previous two chapters. The monsters being unable to kill you if you didn't move, and the little "health" bar on top telling you exactly how much you could move before being chomped have kind of taken away the "fear of death". Still a very nice ending to what was probably the best pixel horror series I have ever played in this site. Well done!

I would like an "Auto reset when killed" option. If I'm looking for a perfect score in a level I have to wait for the guy to complete spawning after dying before resetting, which is annoying. Other than that, great game!

I wish we could sell items (and maybe spells, too) in the same way we can sell equipment when we don't want it. Feels like a waste when you have a full inventory of good items and leave half a dozen antivenoms per floor laying around uselessly.

For all those of you having problems with the lag and slow animations: right click the screen, and in the "quality" sub-menu check "low". You may need to increase the screen size a little to see the small numbers on enemies' health clearly, but it pretty much fixed the gameplay for me. + this so others can see.

Extremely random and luck-based. What is the point of a game in which it's often simply impossible to beat a stage because you are drawn a grid without ANY combination which will do any damage at all to even one of the enemies on the screen? Not to mention the lag is downright unacceptable. Game gets a + for originality, but gameplay is so much more frustrating and annoying than it is fun. 2/5

Most of the AI-only challenges can only be completed by stuffying them up with runes. I can't see what is the point of such missions if all you have to do is grind, make money and then pay-to-win.

Clearly a lot of effort went into making this and for the most part it's a neat game, but some of the challenges are simply ridiculous. Ranged attacks on sudden death missions are just plain silly, and what is the point of the timed missions with automated units? All I can do is watch helplessly as they run halfway across the screen after some random enemy, wasting time and failing every single time... Maybe allow us to control those different character for the challenges and then it would at least make sense. Until then, 4/5.

My major complaint is that the main campaign is way too short, I hadn't completed 20 quests or acquired even 10% of upgrades when I completed it, and that's without using any fuel. That leaves you to either play survival or replay older levels for coins, neither of which are as fun as playing the the original story mode. I hope to see more levels and more enemies in future versions, and fix the survival mode clusterf*ck while you're at it. Otherwise a very fun game for the most part, 4/5

Cool idea, bu it's way too difficult to select the units you want during battle, which can be very frustrating. A pause button and/or shift+click to select individual units (instead of dragging the mouse) would be a big help. Also I'd like to be able to directly control my units (tell them to attack specific enemies, move to a designated spot, etc). A fun game, but lots of room for improvement. 4/5
