I know that Bally is supposed to be doing a generic grunt after it gets killed, but my mind registers him as saying "BRUH?" like he's genuinely shocked that I'm murdering him for money every single time lol.
I feel like this game's shorter than the first. That might be because I've gotten better at the game from playing the first, or because the developer only expects us to play one difficulty.
More images! A difficulty one step harder than insane! MOAR GAEM!
1 star. This is a terrible idle/incremental game. At no point did I ever feel the pleasure of exponential growth. "But it's not supposed to be an idle/incremental game" you might say and the simple answer would be that you should probably not market it as such, then. Don't waste a bunch of horror fans' time by mislabeling your romantic comedy.
I just unlocked detachment and created a group. I selected the group that I had created because I wanted to add a nurser, so I zoomed in to tier 0, but now I have no idea how to go back up to tier 1. ((A few minutes later)) Wait, you click on the first creature in the group to zoom out. Someone should add that to the game somewhere so other people aren't also left trying to figure it out on their own.
Thanks for the feedback! I didn't realize that, but it is clearly a problem. You can probably see this is my first attempt at a game... I'm trying to think of a good way of letting you know you can click on the critter, but maybe I'll just add some text in the group leader.
I haven't played Medieval Cop 1 through Medieval Cop 8, nor have I played Medieval Cop 9 (part 1). I'm 20 minutes into this game and I'm beginning to think that the tags "Idle" and "Upgrades" aren't accurate.
I just tossed four people into the air so hard they ought to hit the moon.
(3 minutes later) They came back to earth like meteors, and pulled off a synchronized super-hero landing so everything's okay.
Really their knees should have exploded so hard those kneecaps would fly off like shotguns slugs, killing everything in their path.
Focusing on the center of the screen and allowing your peripheral to maintain the mark of motion lets your brain keep the locations for a lot longer, as rngsjk pointed out. As for upgrades, Tolerate Extra Error is particularly well adapted to this as even after your brain realizes that the boxes aren't moving anymore (and your perception re-adapts) you'll still have a general idea of where the boxes that moved were, and can guess correctly in a misclick or two. Make sure to extend selection time if clicking the boxes fast enough is becoming the challenge.
On the positive: This game certainly attempts something new. The novelty of wine growing as a mechanic puts a fresh new face on an old genre. I am genuinely interested to see what the next player rank will unlock.
On the negative: There is something unusually tedious about the beginning of this game - it feels like you're putting in a lot of effort for very little new content. And every time you ascend there is a painful struggle to get going again.
At the moment I give the game a 3.5 / 5
Protip: Get super start lvl.1 then kill yourself as fast as possible for massive cash income. Eventually superstart will have an animation of you zooming upward, gaining height rapidly. Protect yourself while this animation is playing, then once it stops commit sudoku as fast as possible again. You're trying to max your cash income per second and re-investing into super start. You'll have the whole game beaten super quick.
WARNING! Do not sell your unused parts. The price of your next piece does NOT go backward on sale. You will be permanently hobbled, spending more and waiting longer for every future block of that type.
Nothing feels better then meditating like a monk for 4 minutes, then watching a bird fly by at mach 12, only to snipe it out of the sky like this is Duck Hunt 2022. Those little suckers must have been in a rush to get to the bird bank because, darn, they're loaded.
*LIVE FAST, DIE YOUNG* - As of v01.00.13 the fastest way to gain RP I've discovered thus far is to commit seppuku as quickly as possible. Drop most of your RP gained into Quick Feet and Marathon Runner (and a few into damage, when you find yourself spending more time beating down monsters than running) to see your RPincome/minuteplayed rise and rise. Your goal is to die as fast as possible, don't do VIT or Thick Skin! This strategy is caused by RPincome/characterlevel not increasing with higher levels (it'll always be 1 or 2), while the fastest way to gain those levels is in the early game when running really, really fast and dying quickly to repeat.
If you pick up too many upgrade bubbles the game crashes. Be warned players: If you only have one choice when picking up an upgrade bubble, you're close to the end of the bubbles and your next one might be a game freeze!
"bruh" it just shorly about my developing skills, that's it
