Most of the difficulty comes from the loot (and your own shots) obscuring your view of the enemy's bullets. Which is one way to go, I guess, but it's not to my taste. Also the continually rising starting money is a nice reward mechanic, but a bit more depth to that aspect would be nice (such as that seen in Elona Shooter).
I have no idea how this isn't in the top 5 shooter games on this site. Its combination of cute style, fantastic gameplay and great music give it the edge over pretty much every shooter I've played since Xenon II (it's a megablast!).

Pretty decent. Like redf01 said below though, disabling the reset button after the last launch is kind of annoying.

Most boring impossible badge I've obtained yet. That said, it does have hats.
I finally got the impossible... But I have no idea how? There was a blur of star lanes, some frenzied pressing of up and down, and suddenly the restaurant was rushing past me. I didn't even know I'd passed Pluto!

Also I'm not including the 60 second doomsurf, 10 second boulder ride or the 4x dactyl chain in my previous comment - sure, they're hard, but if you're skilled you can complete them relatively quickly. As it should be.
So I have all the large eggs and insane speedruns... but I still have to grind this game for hours on end eating lizards, fish and birds for the impossible badge? Pft. The non-challenging milestone requirements need to be lowered - put gold around where silver is now and it should work out.

The gameplay is kind of dull, but the sense of humour is fun enough to keep you going until you finish. But I don't think that will be enough on its own to carry a fourth game.
Repetitive, and not really that engaging. I like the idea of challenge modes to speed up XP gain, though.

Got Hard without unlocking 73-80. I'm not going to blackmailed into liking a game on social media just to get a badge.

This is a terrible game.

Pretty poor game. What's the point of making a physics game if the physics involved are neither realistic nor fun?

Anyone else getting a 'Shadow of the Beast' vibe here?

Pretty fun, gets a little repetitive/mindless toward the end, but the originality and cute (and not too over the top) references more or less keep it from losing its charm.
I don't understand the great reviews at all. The game is so easy as to be boring. Perhaps it gets harder towards the end of the game, but the early portion is so repetitive and bland I can't ever see myself pushing on to discover if that's the case.

Fun gameplay. I agree with the top comments about adding a (small) degree of story/more gameplay depth, as that's likely to better get the educational aspect across. Perhaps replace the wikipedia link at the end with a short and simple summary about the type of nerve you've created and its functions - the wiki articles can be a bit clinical and unwelcoming.

That 'flocci...' one works, but I prefer antidisestablishmentarianism - mainly because you can spell it without looking away to check in the middle of the game.
Not a bad game. The only battle I really found challenging was the title fight against the guy in red armor and the female caster healing him, but the combat throughout was pretty engaging. The voice acting could stand to be re-recorded though, it's kind of distracting when the spoken lines are different than the subtitled ones.

Great game. The only things I'd suggest need improving are that the use for the Buddha statue makes absolutely no sense (even in retrospect) and that there should be more of an indication that there are multiple stages involved in turning off the gravity well - I charged my fuel cell and had no idea why I still couldn't leave. Other than that, 5/5, one of the best games on this site.
Bah, after checking, Motherload's not the one I meant (same style of game, but it's not ten years old). Anyone know of another game with the same gameplay, set on Mars or something with a very orangey pallette?
