Well, on my third run I made it all the way to the bottom and died to the sorcerer boss. Then I was stuck with my level 7 character and no gear. Not playing this again.
This game only spawns objects [balloons, coins, etc] based on your current Y position, not your current vertical velocity. That means if you are going far enough down or up, you will never actually hit a coin or balloon. This is very noticeable on a powerful vertical launch.
Everything not a marksman or AA Specialist is nothing but a detriment to your squad. This means 4 of the "upgrades" actually hurt you. The last squad skill does nothing but drop you in the middle of a swarm of enemies. AA specialists don't actually do anything special against air, which means their name makes zero sense. This game is labelled "bullet hell" but is nothing like a bullet hell game. The controls are floaty, the squad is nearly impossible to dodge anything with, and the game freezes for half a second every time a plane appears on the screen. You have zero chance of recovering from losing your squad no matter how good you are.
If they made a piece of equipment called "Umbrella" that did nothing but stop stuff from falling on you, it would be the single most powerful artifact in this game.
Do you know what's relaxing? Games that don't tell you that you're a failure in big red text every 10 seconds for clicking on a screen that's effectively entirely chance based.
Controls just sorta feel sloppy. Maybe I just thought the "DFG" was unintuitive or collision detection didn't feel right or I dunno, but I just kept finding myself not doing what I expected to do. There was a lot of flailing, and frankly I didn't have the patience to try different key bindings in a game about getting a high score on the same levels over and over
