yeah, this game stinks. Bad graphic, nearly zero chance of actually predicting where the bars will hit. And just when it's going good, bars start sliding in from the side... no way.
when you've first gotten the mega-mega towers up and running, that whole survival mode seems kindda trivial...
Burst towers are overpowered, but combined with others, they become ridiculous in the sense that survival modes seems to loose its meaning... when will something come to get me?
great, because my units choose to go in circles and walk back and forth in stead of just taking over the town, I did not perfect the last lvl, but got the time 05:31.... stupid troops...
Gemcraft is still a generally good game - but the grindfest from previous editions haven't exactly improved... The development, especially in early levels, is painstakingly slow.
It seems too harsh that happiness goes down everytime someone even get's a stomach flu, but when you find new survivors, reclaim a farm or kill 50 zombies, noone get's just a little happier... On the other hand, finding a dog or a bottle of whisky induces more happiness than finding a family of 5...
It could - and in my opinion should - be way more balanced.
@GuriSeboso, I've finally found the slide thingy, but now I seem to be stuck, since I'm unable to find the double jump, any hints as to where this lovely item can be found?
I've litereally been through all rooms several times, and I can see some boxes I haven't collected, but I can't see how to get those, before I have some way to jump higher/fly/get up in the air... Would be nice with a little hint :)
Are you supposed to be unable to move while crouching? I seem kindda stuck... probably just need to explore more to find a missing part, but just wanna check...
I love this game, but it REALLY needs a suicide button, or the opportunity to return to last checkpoint.... at the end of 4th chapter, I was blown out of the 'boss' section, down in a deep pit, where I cannot die, cannot leave, cannot do anything really, but have to replay the entire chapter, I guess...
This game is horribly balanced... Early on it can be hard, high risk of deadlock etc... If you play as a mutant, go for max of the biowaves, and soon the game becomes extremely easy and even more boring... I had no hard fights in the entire last arena, biowave 5 or 4 killed of everyone, with an occasional heal.... The 'mighty' Wanker got K.O'ed in my 3rd attempt to hit him, no challenge there either.... no balance, way to easy after early game...
This is just ridiculous... I started out with me against 3 enemies, now, 2 are down, but I have a way to high miss rate on the third - and he can't seem to hit me enough either.... so basicly, we get a hit in every 7th time or so, heals up, and the game can go on to infinity... kindda lame..
Goblin madness on epic = more than 2.200.000 gold, that's how long it took for my stupid dragon to actually go forward, and leave the goblins behind it bee.... agree with the ton of others who would like an option to have your units moving forward, regardless of what's behind them.
So, this is boring.... I can see that I can't defeat those green/blue arrow shooting thingys, however, they don't seem to be able to kill me either, so have been wathcing a movie and let the computer play itself for the past half hour, I do hope it gets done soon...
Hmm, anyone else here unable to find your way back to sun temple after finishing it? I'd really like to go back to Xantusia, but I can't find out how!
Otherwise, loving the game, one of the few real 5/5 out there!
Must agree with those who find this hard...
I type pretty damn fast - both in english and in my native tongue.
My vocabluary aren't completely pathetic, however, I must admit that my english vocabulary, only counting the words I can spell without thinking is rather more limited than when I write in danish...
Sabertooth15, if you are a native english speaker, consider doing this game in french, german or whatever. If not, you have my full respect.
Any hints on how to find the Trilobyte keys? I've found no. 1 and 3, but can't seem to find 2 and 4... Oh, yeah, and I spared Gopes life, but didn't seem to do any difference... Also, I found the lake in the Gem Mines, think I have to go into it, but can't.
