This game can be played differently, but not wrong. That comment about getting to an unwinnable state is lying, the person who wrote it simply didn't know what to do next. There are multiple ways to enter certain rooms, and also multiple ways to kill the enemies. Overall, the game's visual style is great and the puzzles were decent. No pixel hunting which is fantastic. A solid 5/5 from me.
The guns will sometimes unload two bullets for one shot, but it'll still only count as a single bullet hitting the enemy. That fact almost made me fail survival mode. You might want to look into that.
Having the shadow guy occasionally be in the room is more annoying than anything. I mean, if you can make him disappear just by leaving and re-entering the room, you might as well not have him actually affect the player at all. It just wastes time. Honestly, that method of "death" just seems really out of place.
There is actually a very easy way to do level 30 which I think may be a developer oversight, since you only need two pieces and you don't need most of the stage.
Ok, something which none of the comments like to mention: for the full 100%, you need to collect all 3 bonuses, give the clone 3 Soul Cores, AND make the clone match your appearance. I thought it was just an aesthetic thing...
I got all three bonuses, gave her Soul Power three times, but only got 90%. What happened? One of the bonuses I managed to give her with like half a second to spare, so I guess it's a bug where the bonus doesn't register if you cut it too close.
The problem with this game is there is no consistency with the lighting of the torches. If every single torch lit up the exact same way, there would be no element of guesswork. However, some torches refuse to light while others light too easily. The physics can also be unpredictable, and some levels don't look possible to complete with one shot (I'm looking at you level 4).
I've played quite a few idle games now, and none of them have an auto-upgrade feature. I think such a feature would literally take all control away from the player, and make it more of a movie than a game.
A very fun game that held my attention for several hours! I just wish there were more cutscenes, it did seem like long slog as I got late into the game. Can't wait for the sequel!
I just experienced a glitch where my clicks got turned into casting my second Arcane Spell, which left me unable to attack once my charges ran out. I think it happened when I was casting a spell and clicking simultaneously.
What's weird about this game is that the mere presence of another item on the screen can change the outcome. That is, the alien doesn't touch it and is not visibly affected by it, but the item just BEING there causes the alien to fly in a slightly different direction.
There is just something not right about losing even though the opponent has all his cards in the Graveyard, and I have a full field bashing away at his Life Points. Surely anyone who saw something like that would agree that the guy with a full field of cards should beat the guy with literally no cards. I know the round limit prevents an infinite duel, but the duel I just described was obviously not going to be infinite for very long. I think this particular system needs some changes...
Fireball makes almost every fight incredibly easy. For the last boss, if you manage to get behind one of its hands (say, by doing some backflips) you can spam fireball at everything until it dies. It can't attack you when you're in that position.
