Contrary to popular belief, "thumbs down" didn't mean kill. The thumb was a symbol for the sword. If Caesar turned his thumb up, it meant "put up your sword" or don't fight. If he turned his thumb sideways, it meant "run him through" or kill as death wounds are generally given with the sword in a stabbing or straight position. Just a little history for ya!
Its a nice game, but the fact that you have to move for a relatively long time in order to upgrade anything makes the game longer than it needs to be. Cut out the filler, and your rating would improve vastly.
I really wanted to like this game, because I loved the prevoius installments, but the level scaling is all wrong. I could beat all enemies back at level 1 but now I'm level 6 and consistenly getting my ass handed to me by even simple enemies, and the bosses are impossible. Am I the only one having this problem?
Can't get gold on the final mountain level, and can't even finish the cave bonus level or the first catacombs level. Great job on the difficulty, too fiendish for me though. I guess I'll have to wait until a walkthrough is made...
What's the point in using the Monster Academy to improve your monsters if it increases the goo cost as well? When you upgrade the pokey, it costs 80% more goo to produce, while only increasing its damage and health by about 10%. It's uneconomical.
The idea of adding more ducks to form a team is kind of good, except for the fact that this means you have to do three times as much grinding if you wish to form a party of three ducks.
Easily the most satisfying impossible badge I have earned. It's really skill-based. You are very skilled at making games, sir - I look forward to more strategy based games from you (please? =P)
Small tip: the medic's "shield program" upgrade protects soldiers from 20 points of damage. This is especially useful for crossing goo without getting hurt. Pretty much essential for getting those diamond medals, due to not having to wait for the goo to disappear and taking too many turns.
Is the challenge on "The Divide" even possible? I didn't let a single unit through, and I had max waves, max health, max enemies... as well as all my attribute points (156) in extra unit damage and I totalled around 175k damage. Extra armor shouldn't come into total damage dealt, should it?
Fun, but not a new concept and not particularly well execute either. Gets boring fairly quickly. I suspect some mass upvoting has taken place here to get the rating this high...
It would be good if there was a dps on the weapon selection screen... because one of the best weapons is the holy grail but it's practically useless against the raze solider at the end because it fires so slowly, and i have no idea how to beat him
