Am I the only one getting the "Pause screen" bug? It just randomly pops up while playing a stage. We are talking like 30-50 times during a match at random intervals, could be 2-3 in a row, then a minute all good, then back to screen pop-up. The thing is once in a while you click where the restart or quit buttons are and gg.
So, is there a reason for anti-ghost towers to stop targeting ghosts that flew past it? I now see from the comments that I'm not the only one with this glitch. Comments from 2010 with 900+ votes have no response from the devs and the glitch is still there. 3/5 for such poor customer service and game support.
Uh...how do you get your companion back if you're swamped at the screen's edge and die, after paying the -xp penalty to restart, you lose companion...wtf?
When you get Hank as your companion and accept him to replace the chick (your first one), instead of using the shotgun that you brought him, he gets the gun that the chick had! On top of that the shotgun isn't in the inventory.
Secondly, for one achievement I got the msg "you should have biohazard suite now, check inventory (or backpack?)." Well, it's not there.
If anyone is not getting the hard badge after beating the game, go back to the opening screen where you choose new game or continue. Now press the difficulty button. As soon as you change difficulty the award goes through.
What's most frustrating on the final Alien level is this. Even if every other human is dead at 2 min mark, Raze (with 6 lives) keeps running around and it's near impossible to catch him. It's not even the difficulty, but hes playing hide and seek.
This is a great sequel to the first one. Thank you for removing some of the really annoying things found in 1st game: dying on scouting missions, need to protect while reclaiming, random dogs dying - neg morale, and so on. I really like that each person can learn more than one skill and improve each. Random events, making you chose the path are a good addition, too.
And after so many years, there is STILL no fast forward button? You - the developer - must have heard by now of the game's lag and very slow play. Time to add the ff button yet?
On another note. I would also like to register my immense disappointment with the removal of wave preview feature. I haven't played this game in a couple of years, and came back to get the hard badge (couldn't beat last wave, I remember, last time). I do not understand why it was removed. A HUGE part of my strategy involves knowing what str/weaknesses each wave possesses so a proper defense can be laid out. As it stands now, you are left in the dark. If your def is insufficient and you lose, you gotta remember the wave order from last time...come on, this is a very annoying bad "update."
@joannawww, Your question IS answered in the pedia, though not very clearly - "Only one of each type may be active at once." I take from this that yes, you can have multiple effects but each effect cannot be stacked (like being hit by 2 poisons - only the first poison hit will place it until it's worn off and the unit is hit after that with a new poison).
Pt.2 There really is no need for missions other than cash (early on), science (throughout the game) and an occasional kidnap/kill. If more world events forced you to do other kinds of missions and more frequently, it would be more of a challange. Lastly, difficult to target units at the top due to def menu. Overall, a very enjoyable game with awesome cut-scenes.
Great game, but too easy. A few things need addressing: income factories and other stuff gets unlocked way too quickly. Money is never a problem. By the end, everything was bought but some henchmen and patsies were not unlocked yet... Turrets glitch where they fail to pop up and no way to destroy them yourself.
There are 3 things, that I know of, that can kill black goblin: 1) Meteor, 2) Sky Dragon, 3) Angel. Good luck getting the titans over to the other side on hard/epic modes, takes forever. That's the most annoying map, ever on epic, cuz of the falling goblins.
Ok, what's up with the black super goblin on stage XIII? He resists all attacks I throw at him and kills titan in 1 hit. I have shield but cannot do any damage to him at all. It keeps saying "resist."
After failing to get past day 68 on harder or impossible modes (about 5-6 tries) I went back to hard mode and ...it was actually very easy. Not a single fort breach. Could have won by day 60 with research, but wanted a new ending by destroying the graveyard, so day 73 with 94 survivors and 42 squares. Harder mode starts being impossible by day 25, but there is no going back - only forward to impossible!
At first I cared about the names and the "people" when they died. But over time they became what their profession was and just another number amongst others. That allowed me to make tough choices easier and risk their lives without remorse and win. The few original ones who survived to the end, were treated well and used sparingly - their reward.
