Very clever variations on tried and true game mechanics and nice implementation all around. I especially like that without saying anything and without making the characters visually different (other than color) you implied all kinds of character about them. One likes keys, one likes to collect things, one likes to smash down doors, etc. Very elegant character building though agency, big kudos for that!
Music and effect are lovely. Game play however, well... The "Understanding Games" guys need to add the concept of the "Null Game" into their lectures. The Null Game is what happens when you close your eyes and randomly click. I passed the first 15 levels by playing the null game on this thing. This experience needs some serious work before it can be called a game and not just a beautiful experience (not that there's anything wrong with merely beautiful experiences, just don't call them games).
Who do you think I am, Sisyphus? I like the elegant simplicity of this game but for chrissake you can't expect me to play from the beginning over and over again!
This is as boring as it is shallow and offensive. Once again I long for a ZERO STARS button in the Kongregate UI. Please, please, Fundamental, I deplore you to use your maddgamingskilz for making good GAMES instead of hurling half-baked psuedo-game polemics.
I like a lot about this game. I especially like that you don't destroy the asteroids, merely deflect them. The music, look/feel, and mood are all excellent. That said, I grew tired of it in about 5 minutes -- it needs some more action and levels. For example, as someone else suggested, the asteroids could be played off each other or there could be some sort of secondary goal whereby you realize that you can use these asteroids for some other purpose which becomes its own game somehow. Anyway, 4 stars and I'll be on the lookout for some cool upgrades to this.
Good idea but level 1 is really hard. Would be nice to get the pacing a little better as I've given up on the game before I got too far because L1 is so hard.
