Aww. I had an old save for this from another site, but it won't import. The game was pretty enjoyable, and I hadn't been too far into it, so no real harm, I suppose.
To say our controlled creatures can move heavy objects is an understatement. The humble bat can move boxes, people, and portals to the underworld, even multiples of them at once! Very cute game, and I appreciated the change in thinking the last few levels provided.
14 was difficult. I ended up beating it by single jumping a tonguing the first bat, which gave me just enough height over the spikes that I could drop down and bounce on the second bat, then bounce on the upper-right one to get over to the switch. Completely bypassed one of the middle bats, so I'm not sure if that was the intended solution.
15 was a quickie after that, just stun the first ghost while you're dropping and you're set. It still works even when it's invisible!
Necromancer has long been my favorite class to play, and that still hasn't changed. Life spike will kill anything with a single cast once you get your duration up, and it tagging one or two big monsters mean you can start the cannibalism/life spike spam to start one-shotting the smaller critters. If it weren't for those crystal golems reflecting my spells, I could have skipped minions in favor of just become an all-consuming vampire.
The leveling effect from the Money Pit doesn't affect the ascended ascended pendant. But how am I supposed to level it to 100 sometime this century? :(
Could you change the damage typing for A Gigantic Flock of Seagulls to Exploder? It'd give new meaning to the song "I Ran (So Far Away)" by A Flock Of Seagulls - they were running to escape the blast radius!
A couple questions on the event that levels up equipment - is there a separate chance for each slot, or does it roll twice (once topick the level up event, then once to pick the armor slot)? If you strip all your gear away except one piece, does that effectively increase the chances of that gear leveling up from that event?
Also, are the ascended/ascended ascended pendants valid targets for that event, or are they specifically excluded from it? :)
I booted this up for the first time today, and rolled a tank, archer, and air mage for my group. After mistakenly dedicating myself to Hazzar (thought it was Zoon), I proceeded to get a genie within the first area that gave me a level 17 staff for my mage and that was basically that. I got 2 more genies that playthrough, and got an awesome bow and sword out of it. Moral of the story - being lucky or skilled will only get you so far. Getting both will let you win.
I ain't touching hardcore, though.
Man, I expected an enjoyable romp through space with cows on the side, and the first ending I get is "The Cow Whisperers". 'Til Cows Tear Us Apart, indeed. Lovely story here, folks.
THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:
- The Kred purchases carry through resets
- Purchasing the AI upgrades multiplies total ouput. Paying the 1000 AI upgrade, for example, triples your income, effectively making each AI worth 3. If you have more than 1500 AI, you get a net gain in money earned.
- Some of the achievements were adjusted from 2x speed to 2x profit. If some upgrades seem slower than before, this is why.
- Your "Money Earned" stat and your actual amount of money earned aren't linked anymore. We'll find out why next update.
I'm thinking the issue with "Money Earned" and your actual money earned is the same discrepancy noted by 7starHaku with the rounding issues in Unity. They may not have corrected the formula for the calculation of those stats while fixing it elsewhere, so the money earned isn't properly reflected. Let's see if this theory is right.
Seems like each upgrade is 3x more effective than the previous one (4x time, 12x money obtained) before any modifiers. Also, the "50% speed of money" increase for each achievement is actually 100%, doubling the effectiveness of each item. I think the team meant to put "50% of the time needed to collect money," which would be the same as doubling the speed.
I don't suppose there could be a "Master of All" title for after you master all the skills that provides, say, +10 each stat and a 1.1 multiplier? It'd be a nice capstone.
It'd be nice if some of your random encounters were players that happen to be grinding in that area, or just pulled from random zones. I imagine that would be hard to set up though :P
Thanks for all the work in keeping the game updated!
Yup!
