I've had another idea to address the warehouse capacity. If you make a prestige option that automatically upgrades the warehouse once it's been overfilled to x amounts of its capacity, your workers will upgrade for you. You can call that a secretary upgrade or something. At first it could take like 5x the warehouse capacity to auto upgrade and as you continue to prestige, get it down to auto upgrade at the first max.
Also, as I've seen other people complain, the storage cap is counter intuitive to an idle game. I don't mind progress slowing when we hit the storage cap on the warehouse, but stopping altogether is unacceptable. Are you saying I can't stack it outside my warehouse? That my property line ends at the interior walls? It would make sense to stack it outside, but lose some to other thieves and nature (rain or w/e) thus you'd have slowed progress once the soft cap is reached.
That's a great idea. I didn't intend it to be played as "idle" as it seems like most people are playing, so I think I totally missed the mark on that. That's why some design decisions like the capacity limits feel weird.
Is the scrapper as weak as it seems to be? It's practically useless outside of starting. I found that my progress went much faster just focusing my tp spending on thieves.
what does getting prestige actually do? Just make completing the next run faster? Cause that doesn't really make much sense tbh. There's nothing more to achieve, no next step.
This is terribly broken. I was just checking out the different areas of the gui, now I can't get back to the main page after clicking drones/prestige. The settings don't work. SO MANY PROBLEMS!
"Without the limit you could have effectively infinite currency" No you couldn't because time exists. That's the whole reason this game hasn't taken off. It's a solid idle game, but the beginning is agonizingly slow. You could play the market like stocks to make money, but frankly the whole up and down market thing is a giant pita. This whole process just slows down an already painfully slow game. Knock it all out, make rates flat and remove limits. Fixed and improved.
On my current in-development version I added 1) a progression to the exchange, the more you trade the higher max and more exchanges you get and 2) the option to buy exchanges and 3) the the market updates whenever you trade. If you have some other ideas, check the discord out! :D
It's been two weeks since you said you'd remove exchange rates. It shouldn't be done in 0.4. it should be done tomorrow. Just cut that bit of the code out and be done with it.
The exchange limit is necessary, and now I'm working on making it more fair for players, so that it doesn't feel as strangling as it is right now. Without the limit you could have effectively infinite currency, and where is the fun in that :P
Poorly designed tbh. This cannot be an idle due to the fact you're trying to speed through it as quickly as possible. So close to being something good, you've just made something at odds with itself.
prestiging the 4th ball doesnt give the damage bonus that is listed. I spent a lot of prestige on it and it's totally worthless. it's also still busted in that it doesn't snipe if it hits a wall.
Very poorly made, no transparency, lots of issues. That being said, this seems like a budding coder trying to learn and I can give that a thumbs up, keep going you can make cool stuff. Good luck
