I don't like this game. I don't like that I'm forced to sit on top of each werewolf I attack and beat them over and over even though they stop fighting back after the first hit (it's not just unpleasant but also tedious). I don't like that blood needs to fountain everywhere. I don't like that you gain a stealth ability but the level design forces you to kill them anyway. And I don't like that the driving force of the plot is saving some girl who turned him down. Given that the main character is clearly bitter about it, I can't help but feel that he has ulterior motives in "rescuing" her (to the tune of, "If I save her, then she'll HAVE to love me!"). You could save someone a million times and you still wouldn't be entitled to their love. At that point it's on you for wasting your time for someone who has already turned you down. :B
If Mu Complex didn't think my character could figure out how to read files with a command prompt, then why did they hire him for a job where he exclusively uses a command prompt to deal with files...? ._.;
Played through for the second time. I really wanted to see the other endings, but every time I play this game I can't help but try to complete everything as best as I can. x.x;
My first thought was, "That title had BETTER be a pun" I'm glad it was. It felt like the execution was not as good as it could've been since I ended up just dashing around at the end until I won through luck. But it's still a neat idea and a neat game.
You give the players only a small field of vision and then throw random things at them so that the only way they can progress is by memorization and luck. Gameplay this frustrating takes the players right out of the "atmosphere" you are trying to create.
How come the bloodless ending doesn't show the Oracle disposing of you? Do you never go back to it? I couldn't see the oracle changing its mind about something like that; Blood or no blood, you went through a lot of trouble for that seed.
I didn't like the glitching through platforms bits so much. It's not so bad to expand on the idea and gameplay of Braid, in fact it's a pretty cool idea. But also using the music, and the music-rewinding effect, and the same "philosophical theme" (without going nearly as in-depth into it as Braid did) makes it seem pretty cheesy, to be honest.
Pretty good for the short timespan it was made in. I got the pacifist ending, but the laser sequences are too frustrating to warrant another playthrough.
Those squirrels are not fun at all to fight. Less squirrels that have more complex movement would be better... I shouldn't have to die twice to beat them, and should actually have to use some skill instead of just backing up a little and shooting. Also, when the squirrel king asks for help, why can't I just say yes the first time? Lastly, what is Sam "wondering" about? And will there be more elements besides just fire?
It's an old version of the game. The fighting engine was completely redesigned and new attacks and upgrades were added, so were boss fights. He is wondering about a lot of things, but that will all be revealed in the actual game, almost done.
Cool game, with a very interesting concept and atmosphere. The controls were sometimes unresponsive, which got a bit annoying. Otherwise it's pretty good.
I liked it overall. But my main problem is with level 19. Sticking to the ceiling doesn't quite work right. It requires jumping, and then pressing jump again right before getting to the ceiling, which is annoying and frustrating. Even when I think I have it right, sometimes it glitches and I fall anyway after sticking for a second or two. This makes that level waaaay more frustrating than it should be.
I keep getting stuck in places that I can't jump high enough to get out of. Mainly the chamber where you get the fins. Not only can I not leave, but I can't even die, meaning I have to start over. That's a sign of severely flawed design if I've ever seen one.
