The big thing this game has going for it is that it doesn't take itself seriously at all. Seriously, zombie chickens? That just screams 'indie' on all the right levels. The stat-balancing could use some tweaking though. Anyone else getting bored fighting all those monsters with WAY too many HP?
My problem isn't AS much the 'why'd you stop my jump?!' ad popup as one of those utterly worthless video walkthroughs. Ok, so I missed 1 part. Now I have to go loading a video and scrolling through it to find out where?
Whats with all the fools hiding behind the 'genre' defense? That's like calling all the Bejeweled clones out there a genre! This thing's decent, sure, but it adds *NOTHING* new! It's just shoot cannon, hit objects, upgrade things with slightly different graphics.
The crafting could be improved drastically by having the shop not offer recipes you already have... or at least rerolling them, say, after every adventure.
Love the expansive, open-ended 'you can do anything' feel to this... but it's far too easy, particularly for the OCD crowd. As in "I just switched to a weapon I have all of 5 points in and I still can't freaking die" easy!
1st try, 31 days. Game is awesome, and the new gold/direction system makes it quite playable, even fun! Piece of advice to everyone, if you see a character you like, give them a return to town item ASAP. By the time you actually find the dragon it's too late to really rely on chance with the chests.
Furry artist, eh? Protip: Demand payment up-front. Oh, and wear your tail while kicking these people around. It humiliates them a lot more. That being said... waaaaaaaay too easy.
I'm giving you a 3/5 right off the bat for making something far better than corporate shovelware. The gameplay is good, the story is passable, but the level design is awful. If free-roam means simply having to go back and forth just to unlock doors you're better off just making it stage-based. Still, with a couple tweaks, more upgrades, and actual shortcuts this could be awesome! Keep on makin' and flauntin your stuff, you *almost* got something great here!
A quantum-leap forward? Uhh... no. This is just another sh***y Evony clone. I would tell you to go die, but this was posted by another brainless corporate entity. Thus, the people responsible for this junk probably don't even know its posted here. What would it take to convince Mr. Jintao your entire company wants Tibet to be its own soverign nation?
Function-wise its a good, working game. The thing is so GENERIC though that it feels stock. No, worse, shovelware. Would it kill you to add a scrolling background or some unexpected enemies types/shot patterns?
Fun game, but a little on the easy side. In future incarnations, maybe add timing-based mechanisms, water heaters and the like? That and trophys/medals, like for finding the solution that requires the lowest # of functioning parts.
Not a bad launch game, but the view-increases-with-altitude thing is just plain stupid. If you want to make it harder, add something challenging and not artificial.
You have a decent game here, but two horrible issues make it barely worthy of 1/5. One of the game-killing upgrades bug. Y'all ever heard of beta testing? The other is your awful choice in sponsors. You coulda at least chose a site that doesn't blast your eardrums with "OH HAI I PEDDLE SHOVELWARE FOR MONEYS!"
