After maxing out my anubis' ignitors and trying desperately to grind away at the flying bat boss (using a combination of heaven's wrath, and bombs, and spamming fire on him), with the + damage ring, + health belt, and night vision, drawing him to within a few more hits, and finally dying, i give up on this very promising game, absolutely tarnished by tedious bosses and limited upgrades. 3/5
By the time i got to level 14 i was getting tired of having to constantly click my troops over and over while being FORCED through platforms that made them move ungodly slowly, and the enemy was easily capable of overwhelming me, because my buzzbots couldnt hardly move. the mutation hexagons drain some of the most crucial abilities while adding some of the seeming least uselful. There should be the option of capping abilities to a certain point so that others won't get completely eliminated and you have full defense blobs of uselessness
Im usually swamped by the major charges at wave 2/3, and people are complaining about too easy?! the gun seems way inaccurate to be anywhere near easy. what strategies do you guys use to survive the early levels?!
i lol'd EPIC SHOTGUN PWNAGE. seems like a simple and still enjoyable game :) keep it up dannydaninja, i see your name all over the place on Con's games :)
was pretty much super awesome for as long as it lasted (aka pretty darn short, but it was fun), if you just make everything MORE and balance out the beacon and other rockets and stuff for longer lasting and actual options, should be a great sequel. looking forward to it. 4/5
Frankly, after reading through comments to find out how to even hurt the second boss, then attempting it a few times, it got just too menial to defeat him. The effort it takes to dodge the charge, the spear, pick it up, throw it, and avoid getting hit to deal like one twentieth of the boss's health makes the encounter just plain frustrating, and I gave up on a promising game at that point. Still rating 5/5 because obviously the game had great potential, and for those who played through the second boss it stayed consistently entertaining.
I lol at all the comments that are like "wow how good is the shopkeeper?!" and haven't actually made it to the hundredth floor to find out that.. well.. he IS THE BOSS.
Game could be fantastic, already has much of the work done, but it needs a bit more explanation of how the weapons work, and for one, hitting something with your spikes should NOT damage you as well. That eliminates the point of it as a weapon. As it stands, 3/5, but could easily make it to 5/5 with a bit of work and changes, the engine is fantastic, and coding/programming appears good too, just a bit more fixes and functionalities and the game would be amazing.
I'm happy to see you continuing to improve your game! I did enjoy playing this version more, and the naval concept itself is enough to warrant a pretty high score. Now if you just focus on more balance of towers and ship health, continue to improve the interface and whatnot, I can see this becoming a pretty popular game! Keep up the improvements, you are doing quite well as time progresses :)
